Been lurking for the past month while waiting for the Gnex because this thread always seems to have the latest news. After the lack of release today, I decided that my OG Droid needed to be replaced immediately, so I can stop obsessing over the Gnex. I compared the screens on the Razr and Rezound before choosing one and decided that the Rezound was the only real option right now.
Razr: I was very impressed by the vivid colors and incredibly deep blacks (the black bezel completely blends with the screen if there's a black background), but the pixelation was VERY obvious and annoying on text, especially next to the Rezound. The sealed battery is also a big negative.
Rezound: No pixelation at all and a very impressive screen, but blacks are almost gray which is pretty dissappointing. Also, it really can't be used in direct sunlight. I'm not a fan of the red accents and overall the phone is really generic-looking.
Seeing both of the screens makes me think that the combination of 720p and super AMOLED on the Gnex is going to be beautiful. I'm just worried about having an even lighter/less-durable phone because even the Rezound feels very light and flimsy compared to my OG Droid (which is built like a tank ). Unless permanent root and an ICS ROM comes to Rezound very soon, I think I'll be returning it for a Gnex.
