One of the best tv series that is out right now, IMHO. I've yet to see an episode I didn't enjoy.

The whole series is basically about a burned spy name Michale Weston. While he tries to figure out who burned him and get his life back with the CIA he does side jobs helping out random people. There is always someone that needs help and there is always talk about him being burned. It is a great show and has some funny stuff too.

Great series. I think I've TIVO'd all of them. But at this stage in a series life, I would like to see more backstory on the other characters, who are getting a bit thin right now (pun intended re: Gabrielle).

I knew the GN wouldn't have Google Wallet ever since a Nexus on Verizon was just a rumor. Whether its illegal or not... sounds like how VZW used to block GPS on its phones.

Or how they used to disable the USB port on the old RAZR phones so you couldnt load your own ringtones and were forced to buy their crappy ones and could only pull pictures you took off of the phone by emailing them/using overpriced data. I hate Verizon!!

OK, so the mod in question and the poster in question have talked it over and the mods have talked it over, so the post in question is back up.

We really don't over-mod, we just follow our guidelines and do our best as we go along.

Always ok to ask us about stuff, you'll always get an answer, sometimes it's yes, sometimes no, and the rest we prefer in PM. :) ;)

Here we see Sophia the Husky demonstrating the face of many users on this message board around midnight every night for the past month:

How exactly is Google Wallet the cause for delay? It's not on the GSM Galaxy Nexus, it's currently only on the Nexus S 4G Officially, Verizon's ISIS mobile wallet stuff hasn't been released and isn't going to be rolled out significantly until by the end of 2012 it just seems odd that it's the cause of the delay when ISIS isn't even ready yet.

I think it's specifically the blocking of Google Wallet that is the issue and not the lack of inclusion. I didn't realize that ISIS wasn't going to be out until the end of next year. That probably explains why Verizon wants to block Google Wallet. With a year head start it would be extremely unlikely that ISIS would ever have a chance to get a real foothold and that would certainly devalue Verizon's share of ISIS.

It's still an abuse of power by Verizon to try and block a perfectly viable app such as Google Wallet for the sole purpose of preventing adoption in favor of their investment in ISIS.

I am having a hard time understanding how VZW can block google wallet. My understanding is the only thing VZW has to do w/ the phone is selling it on their network. Hardware is by Samsung and software is pure ICS so unless VZW is saying you can't have NFC on the phone how can they really block it.

So Wallet is not on the phone when it is released Google just pushes an update w/ Wallet on it or unblocks VZW ability to not let you download it but as far as truly 'blocking' the app that is outside of VZW control.

Now if you were to tell me VZW was telling Google that if they do just this they are not selling the GN on their network and please sign on this line, well I get that kind of 'blocking' but frankly I can't see Google letting the GN get raped like that and signing such an agreement but you would have thought this is something that has been discussed and agreed to prior. It isn't like NFC was just sprung on VZW after all.

Just thinking in my head but not entirely convinced this is the hold up but if it is don't see VZW negotiating from a strong place. The flip side is I know VZW is a stubborn mule which means we may not actually see the GN at all. :(

I'm at the point where I'm considering buying the unlocked, GSM version and signing up via T-Mobile.

Question though, I live in DC and see you live in the area. How is the T-Mobile network? Good speed? Slow? Bad service?

The service would be just fine but I work in a building in Chantilly. Tmobile and ATT don't work at all inside. Verizon and Sprint are the way to go but make full use of the 14 day return window to go to as many of the places that you normally frequent to get a good estimate. I have only used tT-mobile's 3g so not a clue about their 4g offerings. Hope this helped :)

agreed! been watching since day 1; but, it's starting to get a "recycled" feeling. some more character development would probably be in order (altho that USA movie "Rise and Fall of Sam Axe" was pretty week). great ensemble cast - lags behind The Wire, The Shield, Justified, and Terriers, but some pretty good entertainment.

bonus question: what Oscar winning movie did Gabrielle Anwar make a cameo in?? (NO cheating!!)

btw, just came back from a VZW store in Phx. it's one of the biggest and busiest in town. they claim they don't have the GNex in stock yet. sales rep i spoke to was pretty frustrated, and said that they talk about the GNex in every morning meeting, and it's the same thing - "no new info"... actually, the purpose in posting this was to say that i played with the Xoom2 for a bit, cuz i'm gonna get a tablet for xmas. very, very meh.... screen was pretty nice, but nothing mind blowing. dual core seemed somewhat slow, and definitely not as snappy as the RAZR. nice build quality, but the rubber around the edges made it feel a little cheap. browser was VERY slow rendering pages, even on 4g.

i think i'm definitely going with the Asus TP.

Is there any consensus as to 4.0.3 being the reason for the delay?

It would definitely make sense. There could always be a last minute software issue that comes up. Also I think that the lack of stock at certain places could also be a reason for the delay. Who really knows for sure though. If the 4.0.3 update is the reason then I am glad that I will be getting a Nexus. Even though there are numerous updates that have been floating around for the Big Red Nexus this just excites me even more to get timely updates. I have been waiting for the Nexus experience for a really long time.

Nice. They also say they have a "trusted source" that it will be on sale tomorrow (Sunday) but no visual proof.

Hmm....

As a Best Buy Mobile employee, the proof they are probably referring to is the fact that the instock date (the date we can usually sell on) in our system is 12/11. But that will likely change come tomorrow with no word from Verizon.
