Root [ROM][YACR] CM 7.1-Reppard

Great ROM. I tried few and stuck with this one. A couple questions...

Is there any way to stop the phone from vibrating during a call? It does it when I pick up, and whenever I move my hand in a significant way. I don't even know why, but I can't find any way to turn it off.

Can I remove the indicator for text messages? It's so big that it sometimes blocks the letter i need to type and I have to wait for it to disappear on its own.

Thanks

I get the SMS message almost immediately, but my phone thinks I received the SMS message 4 hours earlier than went it was sent, and when I received it.

Ill give it a shot. Sure can't hurt.

just a thought but when i flashed this rom i had to manually set ym timezone. had to go to time and date settings, take it off metwork settings, set my timezone, and then recheck the get time from network stuff.. i havent had a problem with messages, just a thought

Hahaha! You rule dude! This fixed my issue. I looked into it and sure enough, time zone settings were off. Don't know why it only affected MMS, but I just tested it and they have the correct timestamp now!

Thanks again tripdoc!

I was wondering is there a revised step by step guide on how to flash reppards CM7. I have read back from pg 1 and noticed there were some updates and gapps that needed to be loaded and didnt know if there was a instructional reply someone could provide so it could be done the correct way the first time so i dont brick my phone ;)

First off. Root your phone and install a recovery such as cwm or joneidy or gnm. After that download the rom. Put it in a specific folder such as A so that its easy to find it and not press the volume button as much to find it. Next you'll need to wipe from bottom to top, excluding SD ext or if you want to as well. If using cwm then don't wipe sdcard. Once all is wiped then go to flash from zip. It should show flash from sdcard or zip. Then make sure signature verification is off and find the zip and flash it. Once flashed just let it reboot. Once rebooted it should take several minutes to start up. After it starts up make sure you have market. If you don't then go to gapps download and install it. If you don't have it. After that then you can go and proceed to enjoying the rom :p

Hey I need help, I have the ROM working well but I still cannot get MMS working. I've tried flashing severall MMS Fixes (like MetrOFF 1.3) and none of them have worked for me. If you could help me with this it would be well appreciated.

Also I've heard a lot about people overclocking their phones to insane amounts like around 800 MHz and I cant get anywhere close to that without my phone crashing. Is there anyway for me to get my phone to like 787 MHz stabily??

All help is well appreciated.

Have you tried deleting the telephony.DB found in data/data/com.android.provider.telephony? That works for me. Could work for you. Not sure.

After flashing the rom, my gmail wasn't working anymore. It would open up and close right up!

I searched the forums for answers but couldn't find anything. I came back to this thread and started reading.... good thing I did! Re-flashed the rom and Gapps and now everything is working like it should!

Thank you!!!

P.S. What do you guys think of the V6 Super Charged?

Download through PC or phone. Make sure its saved as a zip folder. Go to recovery and flash. No wipe needed.
