Hmmm that means I could get out of signing a 2 year contract, yes?
Not exactly. Whichever line's upgrade is used for the contract price is renewed for 2 years. The contract goes with the line; not the hardware.

New question then... Can I get double data on my new line without signing a contract?
The double data deal is for a current line upgrading from 3G to 4G phone or a new line with a 4G device. In either case you must sign a 2-year agreement and the deal is only good for those 2 years (i.e. after 2 years you revert back to 2GB).

Congrats! I really miss 1920x1200 laptop screens. Only Apple seems to have them now on their 17". If anyone out there knows current gen systems that still have 1920x1200, let me know!
My Asus G73 has full HD, and my friend's Sony something has a full HD 15" screen. The G73 is a really good laptop BTW, and the G74 is just about as good as you can get for a laptop.

Hi Everyone,

I just got an email from my super duper credible source who is very high up in Verizon. He was not able to give me any specifics regarding the launch date, however, he WAS able to tell me why it has been delayed.

Apparently Verizon doesn't feel that their brand on the Galaxy Nexus is clearly displayed nor easily identified as a "Verizon device". They have decided to update the back of the phone/battery cover to make it more "Verizony". Below is the updated back.

Hey, nice screen name. ;)

Completely OT:

I'm excited so I have to report this somewhere, and since I've been interacting with you guys pretty much non-stop for a while now I'm reporting it here. I am officially DONE with school. All assignments in, finals done, and graduation is on Friday. I have my glass of wine in hand ready to toast any other soon-to-be graduates and even those just ending a semester. Here's to being done! \(^_^)/

congrats tink! unfortunately, for those of us who reside at the front of the classroom, the work begins now... bring on the grading season!

Try again. I was told we ARE eligible but I am not due to the line that has the upgrade already having a 4G phone on it. Glad to see another from the 504 on here finally.

Not from there myself, but I went to Tulane. New Orleans never leaves you.

I was just driving around my new city the other day seeing a bunch of street signs named for trees and got really NOLA-sick for uptown...

just thought that i would chime in here. I just called *611 told them about the 3g to 4g $100 off and he put me on hold and came back fairly quickly and said yes i was ok to use it...and he then noted that on my account. by the way...i did not even have to give him the code, he seemed to bring it up all on his own. oh...i live in the Milwaukee, WI area

So, I'm in NY State and earlier today I called about the $100 discount (the mailer with the CH4NGE code) for going from a 3G to 4G phone and was denied :(.
I decided to call back tonight and asked about it again and stated that a friend got the mailer but I didn't. She looked up the code and said I was eligible and noted my account for the $100 off. I called back a few minutes ago to verify that it was noted, the person check and read the info back to me saying that I have a $100 discount when upgrading from a 3G to 4G phone and that the offer expires at the end of the month.

Long time lurker, first time poster. My OG Droid finally crapped out on me today after hanging on by a thread for the last month or so. Didn't really have a choice but to use my long awaited upgrade. I decided to go with a Rezound because I had never played with Sense before. Nice phone, but if the release date really is thursday then it's a pretty expensive rental... 35 bucks for 3 days worth of a phone:rolleyes:

Alright everyone I got the 100$ off after talking to a 611 rep. He was probably the most helpful rep i have ever talked to actually. Anyways...

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO TELL THE CSR

search "3g to 4g smartphone promo" in the "doorways" system.
This is how the rep said he found it. I talked to 2 other CSRs in the past who had no idea what I was talking about. Below is a screenshot of the text the rep sent to me. From what he told me, this seems to be something they are running for most everyone. Also I was told that it expires on the 31st, not the 25th

U R Da Man.... Worked for me SWFL - cha-ching

Yeah, that's a tough rental... but cheaper than a spare at Swappa, I guess...
