If you use the Quick Reply feature, any new posts between the most recent one before you hit submit and your post will magically appear but won't show the Thanks button. You have to refresh the page and they will show up.

Can we skip Wednesday?

And I really want to believe her. I had an appointment to get my GNex on Friday the 9th before the latest delay. The fact that I now have another appointment doesn't exactly eliminate my anxiety after what just happened a few days ago.

I feel the same way.. I hate to be a kill joy. BUT, I just don't see the sense in not marketing this phone to the highest possible extent! I was really expecting to hear something Monday. This phone would crush the iphone if marketed properly and Verizon knows that. My gut says, No way they put this phone out without a week of promotion. Two huge reasons :1 Its Christmas the biggest shopping season of the year. 2: This phone is a "carrier jumper". They're going to get new verizon custumers with this phone. New customers are a cell phone company's bread and butter.

Don't get me wrong I hope I eat my words and I'm holding my phone on Thursday. In my humble opinion I think it would be the worst/biggest mistake of Verizons phone selling carrer to release without at least a weeks worth of promotion.

That being said I feel like 1 of 2 things will happen.

1. There is enough buzz about this phone, via- word and mouth, so dump all pre-promotion and launch on Thursday. (Why waste money?) Then they promote hard after Christmas ...we get the promotion of a lifetime, Billboards, T.V, Contests, Celeb endorsements, ect... and it CRUSHES the iphone.

2. They push till after Christmas because obviously there is something wrong(bugs,legal issues, ect) with this phone. Why wouldn't you release before Christmas??, Honestly, lets just be real! THEN.. we get the promotion of a lifetime, Billboards, T.V, Contests, Celeb endorsements, ect... and it CRUSHES the iphone.

This phone WILL be promoted. It's too big not to be! The real question is when??

Please be 1, Please be 1, Please be 1....

To bring some pessimism in the forums, it feels wayyyyy toooo much like last week in here. All these confirmations, forum title changes, my rep just texted me come pick up your Nexus on Thursday........ I'm getting a really really bad feeling we are all setting ourselves for a disappointment...... sorry to be a debbie......... I just don'e want to feel like i did last Friday......very depressing

Ehh, not sure you'd get much more than a few bucks for anywhere if it's as bad as you say. I'm actually not sure what I'm going to do with mine. Maybe keep it as an emergency backup, or turn it into a WiFi alarm clock.

Heh, I saw the spread. Not that bad, actually. She sticks with the Marilyn Monroe look that she did for a risque shoot a while back. It's not too lewd, the certain adult magazine usually keeps it tasteful.

Well some of the black finish on the metal rim around the front has worn off and the battery cover isn't flush with the back (pops up a little bit but it still stays on). The sliding joint is a little loose as well. But the screen is in mint condition and the keyboard is very good too.

Hi there ladies and gents. Just got off the phone with a friendly CSR rep named Zack trying to get the $100 promo added to my account. He said he couldn't find anything on his side, but he would speak to a few different departments and do "everything he can to get this, or a similar promo added to my account" He said "I can see you've been a loyal customer for some time now so I would love to get this added for you"

When I asked him about the Nexus he said he kept getting "rerouted" every time he tried to get info on it. He said he does know that 99% of the stores have stock and they're just waiting to hear when they can sell them.

He is calling me back in an hour or so with information on the promo and the Nexus. I will report back if he has anything solid to say. FWIW, he did say I was the first call he's received regarding the Nexus
