I posted a few days ago about texting the sales rep I deal with at the Corp store here, where he told me next thursday being the date (that was thursday last week), and he just texted me again and said "Are you still coming in Thursday morning for the Nexus?"

So I am keeping my fingers crossed :]

The one I visited today 'claimed' to not have em at all (I was hoping to check out a demo to see if i wanted to wait to the release or go with epic touch); anyways - i asked if i should brother checking them if it is released this week since they had no stock; they insisted that if it is released stock would magically appear.

Not to be a downer, but neither, Costco, Sam's Club, Radio Shack, Verizon Authorized nor Verizon Corporate has anything about Thursday. I called or visited them all.

I'm worried about major disappointment, again.

I dropped by my corporate VZW store. Of course they knew about the Galaxy Nexus. I told the first guy I'd like to see their demo phone. He said they didn't have any they could show, but he thought they had some "in the back." Then he walked us over toward the manager, asking him if they had a Galaxy Nexus they could show me. The manager looked down at the phone he had sitting on the counter, unplugged the USB cable, and quickly stuck it into his pocket. I smiled and asked if I could look at the Nexus, and he said he couldn't let anyone demo the phone. I asked if he could just let me see the screen with him holding it, and he said he couldn't even do that. Of course I left my card, and he agreed to call me as soon as there's a release date.

Yes, we know they have the phone in the stores, demo phones in the pockets of the top guys, and they are ready to let us buy them. All we need is for Verizon to give a release date!

edit: BTW, both guys told me at separate times that December 9th was the original release date.

That whats great about being self employed. I can give myself the day off any time I want. And no complaints except for the wife saying must be nice to not have to do anything. Anyway called my premium retailer I put down a deposit with and he said the 15th also. I know where I will be thursday morning.
