I don't understand why there needs to be an "official Verizon announcement" for the phone to be released...

How often is there an "official" announcement? I remember when I bought the Samsung Fascinate...there was a rumored release date (maybe 10/8 or 10/20 but I can't remember) and my rep just gave me a call when it came out without there being any "official announcement.

I don't think Verizon typically announces or advertises anything until the phone has been released.

Also, why are people saying this target date is any less credible than the 9th? There is probably more rumored confirmations for the 15th than there was for the 9th...we have several leaked documents as well.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I can't help but think it's sounding pretty good.

Nice! I was doing really good then fel off the gym wagon. Right now I'm about once a week but know once I'm past Christmas ill be back at it again.

I have my "put the cookie down piglet" picture picked out to motivate me. :D
Best thing to do is shoot for small bi-weekly gains, and post that money maker photo on your fridge. Sure works for me :)

Actually the fascinate's availability was announced by Verizon the day before...

Thanks for the tip!

Btw, I called VZ to check if I can bring my GN with me on the ship and use it. Unfortunately I'll be screwed up the ass with roaming charges in the Caribbean. Which means I'll have to leave the phone back the FIRST week I have her, or just keep her on ap mode.

Edit: I figured they might let people slide considering the Bahamas is a U.S. Territory :)

Thanks alot for the info.. Yes, I am on unlimited data and I thought this would occur. If the Nexus does not come out Thursday I'm going to go to Verizon to see what they say; if this problem occurs...(Hopefully not)

I would suggest a widget or checking your statement to see how much OTA data you are using. A lot of people think they are using more data over 3g than they actually are. Before I kept track of it, I thought I would have been well over 2gb a month, but since keeping track I have not gone over 1gb (usually less than 500 Mb. I consider myself a heavy user, but do most of my damage over wifi. Also they have been running a lot of promos that double the data from 2gb to 4gb if you are getting limited data. That is still a boat load of data.

I kept mine in AP mode on my cruise and only used it for an alarm and clock.

Nope. Lol. Only 2 places I think that are considered ok for calling/texting. I'll be damned if I can remember which they were though. My parents called us those days.
