Heres what I think guys... we all know the hysteria relating to this release and sometimes the inability for people to read correctly. I wouldnt be surprised if this email was read incorrectly. This is copied from Droid-Life. If you read that statement it clearly says 'locations were instructed to hold all nexus items for the rescheduled launch date' I bet it was read in haste and thought it was a delay letter:

Got another confirmation from another Verizon Corp. by me. BJ's in Paramus confirmed they will have it for sale tomorrow. So that's two confirmations for me

I saw that, but I don't understand why he made such a claim, Phil wouldn't even say December 9th was the date a week ago. He just said it might be the 16th, now he's saying it IS the 15th. That ad on Droid-Life proves nothing..

I just got a call back from my local Verizon rep and he gave me his work cell phone number. He said they were still planning on releasing the phone tomorrow. He said he would set one aside with my name on it and I could come in at 8AM tomorrow (when they open) and pick it up. He said if for some reason there was a mad dash in the morning and they were going to run out he would charge it to my account so it would be "paid for" and guaranteed to be mine.

i stopped in a corp store (in TX) last friday to hear from the district and regional mgrs that it was the 15th. so i sent a text to a good friend of mine, who is a store manager back in cleveland, oh, if she could confirm. as of this past monday, she was mum... saying "still haven't heard anything here"
literally just got a text from her outta the blue:
