At least now I know when the next epic thread will take place. See you all the summer of 2013. August 2013 will be 20 months in which means somewhere around the end of June 2013 I will begin to pay attention to what is out there due to be released.

Lets see if that one will break 90K.

Three words......About fracking time!

Well I won't be getting one first thing in the morning. I have finals until noon and then I'm going out to celebrate with my classmates. I have one on hold with my rep.

I'm done for the night. Studied for 6 hours and I have to go to bed to be at school at 7:30 tomorrow. Everyone enjoy their phones tomorrow!

so i've been lurking for what seems the last 3 weeks. i enjoyed all the speculations, the rumors, phone talk, ot threads etc.

i'm glad that the rumors of 12/15 are finally confirmed as i am in dire need of a new phone. been using a friends lg vortex and its barely been bearable for me. had the thunderbolt, but battery issues made me r/t the thing.

was going to jump on the bionic ship after, but you all know that story.

then i learned of the first verizon nexus phone, and i knew that was the phone for me.

i wanted to join earlier as i too had a dec 9th confirmation story from a reliable source, but i figured it wasn't necessary.

so i hoped that tmw would be the day, but like most of you i wanted confirmation. didn't want a repeat of last week.

i figured it would be announced at mid night or tmw morning, so instead of being stuck on the thread, i went to enjoy 9 holes of golf.

finish said holes and come home to learn of the great news.

i only wished i would have learned about while i was online... guess better late then never.

now i'll probably be on the first impressions page

see you all there

Currently, if you go here (Amazon Wireless "product comparison" link) you can see some prices for the Galaxy Nexus based on what purchasing scenario you are in. Not sure if this will be *final* as the actual product page (here) still just says "unavailable".

Add line to family account = $249.99
New family account = $199.90
New individual account = N/A
Replacement = $739.99
Upgrade on family account = $249.99
Upgrade on individual account = $249.99
Add line to individual account = N/A

I have a $50 discount on my account, so I am leaning towards going to a corporate store in the morning to get mine for $250.

But I'm also strongly considering upgrading with the LetsTalk deal for $174.99 (and just pretending that Verizon didn't release the phone until I get mine ) *LetsTalk deal*

I'll decide before I go to sleep tonight...

Tomorrow is going to be an awesome day. It's going to be hard sleeping tonight.

As BB said, we only have one more day to wake up together, but its too soon for me to start saying goodbye to my friends.

This has been very similar to a hostage situation where the captives forge a strong bond (but without a literal gun to our heads)

No gun..but Verizon brought plenty of mental torture to take its place.

There is no need to be sad about closing this thread! I'll still see you all right here on this forum, discussing about purchase experience, apps, ROMs, and all other crazy stuff! :D

DON'T TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD FEEEEEL!!!!:p;):D

After this post from sox08, the place caught on fire and minimum attention was given to sox08 who initially announced VZW finally officially releasing the Gnex. About 13 "Thanks" and then the firestorm. I think it should be clearly noted who broke the big news first. Thanks again sox08.

no thanks needed man just glad to be apart of this historic thread and being among the first to own a nexus device on verizon. their mite not be another phone release or thread like this again and although i watched alot of this thread from behind the 1 way glass and freaked out like the rest of you over watching the past release dates go by, overall it was nice seeing everyone stick together and talk one another off the ledge. if we went from the first amazing android phone on verizon being the dinc phone and mega thread on here and now going to this beast and super mega thread, i can only imagine whats to come next when we all eventually meet up again..

So I just came from my corporate VZW store. The manager was standing there and I asked if he could reserve one for me in the morning. His response? "We don't know when it will be released." I was in shock. I said, didn't you see the PR? He said, yes but they might still cancel it.... I said, fine I'll just buy it from Radio Shack or a reseller in the morning. He says, they shouldn't be selling it tomorrow until they give everyone the go ahead.

VZW is unreal...

One thing we learned from this fiasco is that the stores know nothing! we know ten times more than them. I just went to a few to see if i could buy one early and they are still treating it like "i shouldn't be asking about that phone yet".

but we do have to remember this stuff for the next time. All the rules were thrown out the window. the late PR (thank god), the way the web site wasn't active on time, the CSR's responses, etc. At least we know that nothing is set in stone with a Verizon release. This one broke all the rules...

P.S. the guy that lied to me a few hours ago about not having any in stock just lost me as a customer. I'm driving an extra 20 miles just to go to another store. and when he does call me i can't wait to say "oh, sorry, you said you didn't have any so i went to a place that did"

I know I didnt contribute much but thank you to everyone. even though verizon was a pain, i was able to move the upgrade date for the second line(the wife's) from march so she can get a rezound that she wants and i was able to get the 3g to 4g $100 discount on both lines. the wife will be happy that she will have me back and not have my head in my phone any more (little does she know ;)). see you all on the other side (the all things root section :D).

Anyone else get the Livingsocial $50 for $25 deal? I just printed my paper and it says $50 to spend on any device or accessory at Verizon Wireless.

Can anyone else confirm that it is good for $50? If so then I have $50 Executive Office discount, $50 NE2 and $50 Livingsocial discount. All in all I should be getting my Galaxy Nexus for $150!!!

**** NEWS FLASH ****

12/14/2011: Washington DC, the Department of Labor (DOL) has updated their forecast on employee productivity. The DOL is projecting the deep decline will continue for the remainder of the week beginning 12 December, 2011. Oddly enough one employee noted that the downward spike in productivity is projected to be offset with a huge spike in technology sales culminating on 15 December, 2011. This event is projected to be so big that President Obama has been notified in a secret meeting.

A Whitehouse source wishing to remain anonymous said, "I don't know what was whispered into the Presidents ear - all I know is that the President tossed his Blackberry into the trash and asked the Whitehouse Chief of Staff if he had Verizon, and was he on the Family Plan." "He then sat back in his chair, smiled, and said the recession is over."

The DOL also suggests that worker productivity will return to normal the week of 19 December, 2011. Rumor has it - employers are rejoicing, and muttering the words, "Thank You Verizon!"

Merry Christmas to all!
