Ahhhh Crap! Hmmm, does anyone know if your online discounts through Verizon can be used in store? One CSR told me yes, another said no. Reseller told me over the phone he could do it but I don't believe him LOL. Its a $50 credit, it doesn't show up as loyalty discount or anything - The RAZR and the Rezound are just $50 cheaper... Im confused :thinking:

I know you're joking, but I wanted to take the time to explain again why Verizon waited until the last minute.

They don't want to miss a date, and the only time they are certain of a date is the day before. But once they announce it, it's a done deal. Can't retract a public statement.

Kaylen: The reason the phones are so cheap through third party vendors like Best Buy, Wirefly, or Let's Talk is because these vendors have their own contract on top of Verizon's contract. With these third party vendors, if you purchase a phone you can not change your plan within the first 6 months or you would incur a termination charge up to $250. Also if you decide to end your contract early, you would have to pay that third party vendor's termination fee and Verizon termination fee amount as well. Does that help clarify the price difference in the phones?

I was wondering if you have a ripe upgrade on another line and use that instead of transferring the upgrade to yours but activate the phone on your line then does it work out? The line that originally had the upgrade would be stuck in an extended contract while the line where the Nexus is activated doesn't right?

I'm going with Verizon. Considering all we've waited through for this phone, I'm not gonna do anything that has any chance of screwing me over. I've bought directly from Verizon before (Dinc) and even got my order early. I know if I order through them ASAP I will get my phone ASAP. Let's Talk might be the same way, but I'm going with my gut here.

Whatever price you see online, you will get at least at a corporate store. Not sure about premium resellers. But there is a $20 early activation fee if you are not past 20 months on your contract.

Selfish, maybe. But going on 3 months of this roller coaster, I'm bittersweat about it ending. The highs were great, the lows were even better.

I am traveling in New Mexico closing on my new house, and long story short, T-Mobile just will not work for me around here. I also brought a prepaid Verizon dumbphone (Samsung Gusto) and found Verizon signals loud and clear all over the place where I had no service on T-Mo.

Now, the corporate store here has a TERRIBLE reputation in online reviews, while the authorized verizon sellers have good reputations. I called those two and one said they'll get stock tomorrow around 1 or 2 PM, and hold one for me. I can swing by and pick it up on my way to the airport, it'll be perfect.

HOWEVER, the guy at my VZW corp store in MN finally called me to follow up and ask if I wanted to get the phone tomorrow, but I won't be back tomorrow. He left a voicemail. So I'm wondering, should I call him tomorrow morning and ask him to hold it until Friday when I get back? Any reason not to get it from an authorized retailer?

If some of you are on unlimited data on Verizon, if I were you, I'd wait for clarification from Let's Talk before upgrading.

"Update: Some of you noticed that their system appears to try to switch you over to a tiered data plan. I have reached out to LetsTalk to get some clarification on this. Hoping to hear back shortly."

Yes, the roller coaster is coasting into the station, and even though a few were terrified along the way, some aren't feeling very well, everyone is smiling because they made it.

so if you are ready for an upgrade(which i am) and dont need to do an alternate upgrade(which i dont), then letstalk is legit and the way to go to save some cash for an extra day or two wait? am i reading this right?

ps. wont be changing my account, we have 5 lines staggered to upgrade throughout the years and everyone is very happy with what we have, so no worry there
