So I went to best buy the girl at the mobile center said tomorrow is the day! When I mentioned that I would be buying it out right without upgrading she stayed quite and said I dont know if we can sell it to you like that... But told me to come in tomorrow and she would have more info. Smh... I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Thats not what I had hoped you would say. Well we will know for sure soon enough. It would be stupid if they wouldn't let me give them my $650 though.

Usually this is only at authorized resellers, corporate stores should sell them to you without a problem. I would ask for a manager if it is a corporate store and ask him if he is in the business from turning down money.

Also I would get his name and let him know know you will be reporting this to corporate headquarters or something along them lines.

Pretty much this. THe only retailer I'm aware of that doesn't do off contract is Costco.

I plan on hitting my local corporate store and not having any issues.


Edit: The whole Costco thing was back in September with the bionic so I don't know if that's changed since then.

To all you who are planning on buying at full retail: are you doing this so you can upgrade your phone in < 2 years without paying the ETF? Is that the single benefit? I'm just curious...considering my options for tomorrow.

I'm doing full retail bc I used my NE2 on the 4S. Luckily they are selling really well on eBay so I won't lose that much.
