phone in hand is amazing! was first 1 in vzw and 1st one out. the rep was great and knew alot about the phone and the delay and was showing me his rooted razr and its a vzw issued phone and he had all bloat disabled! haha the store only had 2 extended batteries though so I had to get one. hard to believe this is the beginning of the end.

That would be an affirmative. Though you can't close the lid of the charger with the larger battery. Guess a little too thick in the middle though don't need my batteries to go on a diet. As opposed to me...

I was the second to get one from my local third-party reseller this morning. I am now being super protective of my new friend and letting it charge all the way up before I play with it more, which is really hard to do! I just wanted to jump on here and post and thank everyone for their efforts to provide all the information available on this release as quickly as they did, and of course for all the hilarity. It's been great fun and I hope everyone enjoys their Nexi!

Ordered my Galaxy Nexus via phone call. They put the order in with FedEx 2 day, I asked for them to revise to next day. One issue was accessories were not really available to order. I did order the extended battery and cover. They did not have a docking station of any kind. Oh well, I sure do hope I get it tomorrow.

And I'm done! Unlocked and all! Thanks to everyone for all the fun times while I on-and-off lurked!

Also: When unlocking (after doing the adb reboot), it said it needed the Android 1.0 Driver, but I used information in this xda-developers - View Single Post - [HOW TO] Unlock Bootloader & Root GSM Nexus to fix that issue.

One thing that kinda annoys me is that I don't seem to have an indicator light for when the Gnex is charging. Is there an option to turn on for when it's charging?

Still have "safe mode" on my screen even after rebooting (after OTA). Did anyone else get this message on their phone?

Edit: did a battery pull and now safe mode has gone away!

The Nexus is mine! It's wrapped up snugly in its TPU case, screen protector on. Such a gorgeous screen. Runs smooth as butter, couldn't be happier. Best of all, they honored my $100 3G to 4G credit!

They didn't have the extended battery in stock, but I should get it this weekend in the mail. Not unlocked or rooted yet, I'm going to spend a few days simply admiring this beautiful device.

Hey - another Des Moines person! I ordered online but I'm tempted to rush over and join you anyway just to see the device.

I can't decide if I want to play with a demo before getting mine tomorrow or not. I kind of want to keep building the anticipation and have my first experience be opening the box to my own device.

I won't be able to get out of work until late this afternoon and wanted to guarantee that I'd have the phone for the weekend.

It also keeps me from having to deal with traffic and annoying people.

I did the same. Ordered for overnight. I am content to wait till tomorrow...I guess.
