Anyone else order online and STILL waiting for a tracking number?

How were some people eligible for free overnight shipping and others weren't?

I was very surprised to see I received overnight shipping, but I wasn't sure why I was eligible for it...

Not too sure. As a new customer, I got free Overnight. However I saw a few people had "FedEx Priority Overnight" which was 16.99 extra. Not sure if theres any difference.

Did you get your tracking number yet? I have not. Still hoping for delivery tomorrow.

When I checked out, the "FedEx 2-day by 7:00 PM" shipping was included for free. I selected overnight shipping for an extra cost of $12.99 before I checked out.

Still waiting for a ship confirmation and the check status page on Verizon is broken. Says not available. Got a 2nd email this morning shortly after my order saying my order was qued.

Not sure what to think here

Same scenario here. Please update when you get your tracking number. I will do the same.

There seems to be some ymmv going on depending on your account. I got free overnight but had to pay the full 299. Looks like some people are getting it for 249. Maybe some people got 249 and free overnight.

Just got off the phone with a rep. This info might be pertinent to anyone who hasn't a received a tracking number as of yet:

A rep has informed me that tracking info won't be populated until late tonight/early tomorrow morning possibly. She said that there has been a huge demand for the Nexus, and in order to discourage fraud, some orders are randomly chosen to be put on a "24-hour hold" status. This is to verify that the information given upon ordering is indeed legit due to device being considered one of their top-tier smartphones. The rep I spoke with said that there is no way to really tell who gets the hold and who doesn't, and for new accounts at least, has nothing to do with credit checks or anything. It's just a very random sample of people who's orders will be withheld for a period of time. In my case at least, the rep told me there is nothing on her end to indicate whether an order has been selected for this extra step. Rep also mentioned that supply is starting to become an issue and they were told to tell potential customers that there might be a possible delay with receiving the devices.

Again, it could be possible that I receive my tracking info tonight and get it tomorrow, or it would ship out first thing in the morning and get here Monday. They just don't know yet.

Hope this helps anyone who was curious

I ordered mine at about 1pm today but never received an email. I called *611 and right away it asked if I wanted the tracking number for my recent order. I pressed 2 and they sent me a text with the number. I'm sure it won't actually have any info since it won't ship out until tomorrow, but this might help anyone else who hasn't gotten theirs.

Anyone know if I leave a signed note.. if Fedex will accept this for a "indirect signature"?

Depends, I have heard that in some cases depending on driver they may do it but in others you have to visit the FedEx facility ahead of time to sign the required documents. I wouldn't count on driver accepting the signature especially with it being the holiday season.

Still no tracking number and the order tracker page still says, Page is not currently available.

I DID have my account manager give them a ring and they said I should have my phone some time by 3pm tomorrow :D

It will probably come in while I am at work tomorrow making for a LOOOOONG day :eek:

I would feel a lot better with a tracking number though

If you track the package on FedEx's website, and it shows "indirect signature" a note left for the driver will work just fine.

I usually put the following on the note,

FedEx driver,
I authorize you to release the package with tracking #???????. Please leave the package between the front door and the storm door. Thank you!

(Signature)
(Print Name)

That's what I do as well. I ordered around 10:30am yesterday and I had the "check back tomorrow" message. A couple of hours later, that changed to shipped with no tracking number. Then at about 4PM, i was emailed a tracking number by VZW.
