Help 2.3.6 - Andriod OS Eating Battery!!

There is a known problem with 2.3.6, it's all over the net. I don't think this forum is active enough anymore. Guys, if you go into what your battery is using, your Andriod OS is going to be much higher than it used to be. I've confirmed this with 4 seperate GS2's.
Well, apparently not all phones have high android OS,cause mines only at 8%.

Don't confuse overall battery life with the order of battery use in the battery status.

The order of battery using services/applications can vary. If the Android OS is on the top, you are not really using the device much as the OS is the top consumer of power.

If your overall battery life is not lasting as long as it use to, then yes, look at the worst offenders and consider how you have been using the device to see if it aligns.

Don't mistake a process/application's higher % to mean a higher drain on the battery, it just means it has used X% of the battery compared to other applications.

Yup, thats what i am going to do. Buy a bigger battery once i find one with a back i like.

The seido 3200 mah is good. Pricey but still a good choice with a good rep. I also have the trexcell 3800mah extended battery. I am posting a few lil stats so folks can have a some what idea on which direction they want to go in.

Also i used the auto root for EK02. I downloaded juice defender ultimate to assist with these battery life issues.

What are you guys averaging after the update? Ive only had the phone 2 days now, but with my normal usage, which id say leans to the heavier side of usage, im average about 7% of battery per hour. I know its kinda hard to base anything on that. But im not at all disappointed so far with the battery life compared to my EVO3D that i traded away.

I have the 3D as well...And this blows it outta water...Get a Seidio Battery and your woes will be over ...I had the 4000 on the EVO ...1 1/2 - 2 days on a charge ...Moderate use ...You can find them (The 3800's) at a cheaper price on Amazon or Ebay...Also install Ultimate Juice...:D

I'm getting 24 to 29 hours with medium usage. My battery life wasn't great when my phone was stock. Its a whole lot better now that I rooted and Flashed Unnamed Rom v. 2.0.1 its 2.3.6 on EL13. It takes out bloat/crap ware, CIQ, and needless Facebook/Twitter Sun Ming. I think that's why I'm getting great battery life.

Can you give a link for that ROM you are using please?

See thats kinda it though, I dont even feel like i need the extended battery at all. Im just kind of surprised that people would need it with this phone. Im sure some people abuse the crap out of their phones but damn, these things last forever on the stock battery!
