Help ICS bugs & gripes (Nex S)

Hi guys,

Since installing ICS on my UNrooted Nexus S over the weekend, I have not been able to put my phone down. I've never been happier with Android! All the basics work, it looks sexier than ever and everything seems a lot faster.

That said, I have noticied the following issues/bugs/gripes and wondered if anyone shared these concerns?

1) CONTACTS - For some reason, in my call log and/or message inbox recipients names do not show up.. So even though they are Google Contacts and been in my phone from day 1, sometimes ICS doesn't recognise the number belongs to an existing contact! Which is very annoying as you can imagine... Anyone had this and know of a fix?

2) EMAIL - When using the "Email" client for Exchange Mail, I've noticed it is acting freakishly weird, sending sporadic messages to random recipients without my knowing. I just emailed a blank email to my boss and and a completely random one to my colleague.. Could this be a virus??

3) SLOW SCROLLING - More of a gripe than anything, but I've noticed the speed of scrolling up and down, web pages, apps, contacts, messages etc is terribly slow and requires significantly more swipe gestures to get to the bottom of any page/asset.. Anyone also share this view?

Look forward to your replies.

Thanks,

Thedynamix

I also had this problem .
there is this new thing called "people" and there's also the old contacts section(phone icon).
I got it to work somehow, exported my contacts to my SD and imported the Vcard into the "people" section. some of my contact got doubled but everything seems fine now.

The scrolling does feel different and a tad slower to me, however the benefit here is that it IS much smoother now on my NS.

A minor gripe/bug: when I check the full screen option under settings/labs, exiting the browser causes a visual glitch whereby the google search bar is partially hidden and then the home screen will jerk down. Edit: I have also noticed that this problem occurs going from the gallery app back to the homescreen.

Thanks to google team for the ics update .. it is pretty nice n amazing with a few bugs..

1. if i charge my battery to more than 90% the charging notification on the battery n the lockscreen doesn't disappear even after removing the charger n the battery status shows " discharging " ... the only solution i got is to switch my phone off n then pull the battery out n restart..:mad::mad::thinking::thinking:

2. i was able to open the data usage option in the settings wen i installed the ics but now wenever i open it the settings start not responding n force closes ...:thinking::thinking:

Any suggestionsss !!!
