You don't need to make a hard reset on the remote control .. Just buy another remote control . maybe a keyboard , mouse and connect them to the ATv ..
Or smash it into the wall

The whole document would be great as the online translator seems to miss out on or misinterprets some critical points making them counterintuative.

Have you tried this fix? http://androidforums.com/google-tv/338651-android-tv-box-flexiview-fv-1-a-13.html#post3428996 Doing those steps helped me fix my Android Market issue and now I can see all apps (not just limited selection like before).

I also have a briked ATV2000 (full story available in whirlpool forum ;-).

I ordered a USB to 3.3V UART/232/TTY/serial "cable" with FTDI chipset from ebay and will try to unbrick mid of january next year using "putty" software and the KDG team instructions.

It seems that quite a few people have bricked ATV1000/ATV2000 units and I hope soon there will be many people with unbricked units!

does it mean we ll jump over version 3 all together? i have a tablet running version 3 and i can say its pretty good. well, if it will be version 4, even better. good job geniatech and android developers!

Even if the video title is about an "Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Firmware Preview" for ATV series, the last frames of video show a new device: the "Enjoy TV Nano 3"!

I think that contact support@geniatech.com is the best solution, they will help you on this, perhaps will send you a serial adapter for updating the box.

And finally the instructions are in Spanish and require some deep thought when interpreting the English translation.

I would love to trade experiences with anyone else trying to unbrick their units.

For ATV1000 or ATV2000 you need only basic spi_M3_512.bin - that file we need form Geniatech support. But i think you can use spi from one spi update package.

Remember You do it at their own risk! I recommend that only to people with experience with linux or router developer.

Recovery procedure is here (I use it on bricked ATV300).

I will give it a go when I get my PS with RS232 output built (I have had to order a compatible power supply)

one thing i noticed with 11 30 fw, that once u adjust the screen position, after reboot it shifts rigth-down by 2 moves. hope in the next update, the screen position will stay as selected.
and another thing is some app in market are not there. i can easily install them on my tablet, but can not see them on market. i ll have to look at that guite posted earlier on somewhere about this

This is good news that will put the gadget ATV Android 4.x

But it may not have yet fully braced version 2.3.4 and are jumping 4.x without the prior apuntular above.

I think a big mistake. Not take out the version 4.x (this is fine), but it seems a great mistake that is not finished developing the previous 2.3.4
