^^how many X users are about to move on to newer devices^^

It's amazing to see how all the hype surrounding the release of the GNex has created a rather pronounced division amongst it's early adopters. There are those who absolutely love the handset and those who absolutely hate it. There doesn't seem to be a lot of posts by people figuratively straddling that fence. It's a pretty decent handset... not a revolutionary device but an evolutionary one.

While I tend to occasionally miss the familiarity of my DX I guess I'm one of the folks who actually likes the new Droid Razr. I made the sacrifice and placed the handset in an Otterbox case. It's now extremely comfortable in my not-so-big hand while not nearly as bulky as the DX was in it's Trident Kracken case.

I also turned off 4G since I almost never used it. Now I can go an entire day on a single charge. Nice to know I have access to 4G though most of the time, my Razr lives on WiFi...

I think you have the secret of battery life for 4g right there :p Just turn it off until needed.

This might be my last week with my DX. I purchased the Nexus Saturday and I am really liking it. I have a buyer lined up for my DX. I will really hate to sell it. It has been an amazing phone even with a locked bootloader. This has been a great corner of the Android Forums! I moved up from the OG Droid and it was a great place. I hope that the GNex Forums are as helpful and kind as it was here.

See you all on the other side!

My launch Droid X is still chugging along well, and I'm still very satisfied with it. Hoping it will last me as long as possible, it was definitely one of the best investments in technology I have made in a long time.

My "X" has definately been the best phone I have ever used. My biggest worry is that my next phone will be a disappointment compared to it. It has been and continues to be that good.

I'm waiting at this point to see what comes out of CES. So that means my next phone will be coming out next summer. It will definately have to have the 2nd generation 4G radio in it.

So just waiting at this point,

I was sure I would buy the GNex. I jumped on the DX at release so I had the upgrade ready. My area recently got LTE, so I have been pretty excited to give it a try. I've looked at the GNex and the Razr. Both seem lacking compared to the DX. Not that they aren't better phones, but they are not the leap forward I had with the DX (coming from blackberry). I may give my upgrade to my wife and use hers in the spring if something great comes along. I can't believe I'm saying that.

The the primary line on my account was due for an early upgrade (my wife's phone). I was going to steal the upgrade go from my X to a GNex, but her Blackberry broke over the weekend for no good reason (other than it's made by RIM I guess).

Sooo, I'm still rocking my launch-day Droid X for awhile longer! Which is fine, its still going strong.

She now has a Samsung Stratosphere - mainly since it was the about the cheapest keyboard-ed smart phone they had (not counting the same entry-level BB that just broke). Not a bad phone, fine for her needs (tons of email and texting). LTE so she can, ummm, download email attachments like really fast. Still, a huge step-up from the BB.

BUMP. I've been struggling deciding Rezound and Nexus.

MWC is around the corner and I wonder what manufactures have up their sleeve. Especially with the next gen chips coming out, I feel confident that the LTE chipsets will be more battery friendly...

My upgrade is in March (got the X the first day it was available). I gotta say, this is the phone that I've been using the longest time. Before that I used the Storm (1 year) and the Incredible (2 months)...
