CaseMate Barely There Review

Yes, the power button is pretty close to the edge of the cutout but the volume rocker is good.

With the regular battery, the case is perfect for me.

Thank you very much for posting - this will help us decide if we want it or not. The case does look great but I am worried about the lock/power button. The volume rocker looks like it has enough clearance.

got mine today. it works with extended battery as you can see from above, but it doesn't feel snug, there is a gap on the bottom where it is supposed to snap in. also with the extended battery and door it makes the power button not as easy to press. Radyoactive you have these issues. maybe mine was a dud

This looks like the exact same issue that the Verizon Shell/Holster has with the extended battery and door. The Shell fits at the top however on the bottom of the phone it doesn't quite snap on and could very easily be snagged or caught on something and come off. I was hoping the CaseMate work work. Doesn't look good for the Feather to work either based off these two results.

To ALL:

Put the STANDARD battery back on the phone (with extended battery in) and try it.

I bet it works.

It's slightly better than with the extended battery back, but there's still a gap, and it still doesn't clip fully to the sides. It's enough that I feel like it might randomly pop off.

Plus I'm not really comfortable enough with the tension of the standard door.

i've tried 4-5 different cases. nothing fits properly with the extended battery.

i returned my extended battery because of this, and the fact that it only gives you like 15minutes extra. pointless. i got the standard battery that comes with the charger. :D

Here, I took some pics since people wanted comparison. Different angles of standard battery/standard cover, extended battery/standard cover, extended battery/extended cover with the Barely There case.

And I definitely got more than 15 extra minutes. With very similar usage at work between Tuesday and today, on Tues I was plugged in by 2 PM, today, I made it home til 6:30. I'm sticking with the TPU case for now.

Pop case by case mate fits fine no issues what so ever. Not sure I like the white/Grey but it works.

FYI I just did a review for HTCPEDIA for the CASE-MATE POP and it works with the extended battery.

That's not true at all. I have the extended battery and regular battery. This case does NOT fit our phones at all. I am returning mine to the seller on Ebay. The crazy thing is if you take the back cover off it fits like a glove. Makes me wonder if it's made to work only without a back cover. Otherwise it bows out too much at the bottom even making the screen lock and volume buttons hard to get to on the top of the phone.

If you have the case, put any battery you want it it and put the case on it and you will see that it fits which is crazy because the back to the phone is so thin. I don't get it.

I don't have it. It was just a suggestion. I'll have one today and check myself. I saw a few reviews that said it would fit with standard cover on a extended battery.

I can tell you the extended battery does fit NO PROBLEM on the case mate pop.

Diztronic case costs less than half of that and covers much more area while not increasing thickness by much. Material seems better suited for shock absorption too.

I have tried the DIxtronic and I do not like soft gummy cases. They attract dirt. The Barely There has the same feel as my ThinkPad and is much nicer to me.

I still do not see how it would work with the extended battery

I'm seriously considering not using the back at all. How much dirt and moisture do you think I am putting my Nexus at risky of by not using the back and only using the Barely There case?

Well... there's a pretty big gap around the camera, and there's still a little gap at the bottom. I dunno. It does seem like there's a lot of potential for issues, IMO.
