Hi at all.

I used the search but i did't find similar problem

I have the same problem:

Starting from:
2.3.3 Original Rom Not-Rooted
H-Boot S-OFF 6.98.1002 by Revolutionary
Originale Recovery Sub-Menu (..red triangle, green arrows crossed..), not
ClockWork or similar.

I received the OTA 2.3.5 and after 5 minutes of work and a couple of reboots, the phone Stuck at white htc logo.
I tried to do a factory reset but nothing.

Someone had and solved same problem?
Could you help me?
Thanks
Kramegna

The HBOOT version of your phone changed when you used Revolutionary to achieve S-OFF. It's unique to Revolutionary and isn't compatible with any FOTA update, hence the problem you have.

The general rule is to never accept an OTA on a phone that is S-OFF. If you require the OTA update, then flash it as a ROM, if and when it becomes available as such, or wait for the RUU to appear.

This thread may offer you a solution. It guides you through changing the HBOOT version on your phone, then installing a compatible RUU. You will need to locate the correct RUU for your phone (e.g. with or without branding), if you decide to try this.

Alternatively, you can try flashing a ROM. These will come with their own flashing instructions. (You don't necessarily require an app like ClockworkMod to flash ROMS, unless you want the added support.)

Any data on your phone will be lost when installing an RUU or ROM.

Thanks for your reply.

I downloaded "RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.5_Radio_20.480 1.30 . 0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_219480_signed" ( i'm Italian)
and tomorrow i'try to flash the ROM.

In other forum says that this RUU can work with my S-Off HBOOT 6.98 like my HBoot.
Is it right?

In your link speaks about a "ENG HBOOT", if the RUU written up doesn't work cai i use the same .zip or i must find the correct file for Italy ( What's mean "ENG"? England?)

Thanks in advance

Not to my knowledge and I can't see how, but, if you decide to try it, let me know if it works!

ENG HBOOT = Engineering HBOOT

Hi,
i have exactly same issue. Really appreciate if you can link to hboot that worked and share same knowledge as XDA link is dead.

i think was deleted because i attach a Hboot find from a post that i did not remember who was.

I recover my post after contact the xda Admin:

Hi at All.
I Solved my Problem
Thanks at All and many thanks to: Skanob ,djisgod, notebook*

In my last 4 hours i did in the same order:

Download from XDA link: "RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.5_Radio_20.480 1.30 . 0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_219480_signed"
Try to flash, without change anything.
The update/reinstall process end correctly, but rebooting the phone stuck at white htc logo.

This conferm that that RUU with my HBooT don't function.

I reaching a HBOOT 0.98 in many Thread.
Using AndroidFlasher (very good tools!!) i tried the first HBOOT (do not remember the link) and only change the first row of tha HBoot: missed Revolutionary
I found other Hboot in a thread dated about June and i used that HBOOt (attached below) whith Androidflasher
HBoot Changed in to: 0.98.xxx correctly!! in the upon remain S-OFF (i don't know why...)

So, i think that in my phone there is a consisten ROM. Try to reboot the phone but nothing, stuck at white htc logo

  • Retry to execute le RUU (the same RUU installe 30 minutes later) and
The phone Start Correctly with 2.3.5.!!! WoW!!!!!!

I'll try to see the bootloader and is a 2.xx.xxx S-ON

That's all!
K.
