I'm sorry, but this thing is fantastic!

this phone is PERFECT to me. It's the only phone on the market that looks better than the iPhone to me, hardware and user interface wise. the only complaint for me is the camera quality, but i've seen worse.

I think the latest iPhone is a bit uglier than the 3 series model. The 3 series was elegant looking like the nexus, the 4 series looks like a glass brick.

The nexus is also a very elegant looking phone, slim, nice curves, like a beautiful woman...:)

I agree..

There are small nagging issues for me like the slow auto rotation and far too dark auto brightness but I haven't experienced any of the bad ones like bad signal and battery life is acceptable for me.. even in heavy use days I'm typically OK.

The total upgrade this phone is over my Droid is insane. I said this in another post I believe but it's worth repeating. When I was just doing a quick browser speed test for shits and giggles I was amazed to see on some situations the GN would be done loading the content before the Droid would even "react" to the link being touched and start to load it.

It's an amazing phone, ICS is awesome.. is it perfect? No.. but no phone on the market is.

I'm thrilled.

Yeah, the battery life isn't what it was with my BlackBerry, but I'm not too quick to judge because I didn't use the BlackBerry the same way I've been using the Nexus (a LOT!).

The camera on this phone is fantastic! Yes, I compared it to the Rezound, and the Rezound's camera does a better job in tricky lighting and probably with color saturation (hard to be certain because I only looked at the Rez's pics on the phone's screen). But that doesn't take away from the fact that I've been seriously impressed with what the GNex camera is putting out, other than its propensity to blow out highlights -- hopefully fixed in firmware.

My biggest gripe actually has nothing to do with the GNex -- it's that the Facebook app sucks compared to what I was accustom to with BB. No uploading to particular albums, no tagging faces in photos, and no baked-in integration of Friends with the phone's contact list.

My phone call quality has been awesome. No dropped calls. Generally good data speeds indoors where my signal strength is inconsistent from room to room. No problems with Bluetooth pairing. My home is on the edge of a good signal where some Verizon phones have had reception problems, but none with me.

Expectations probably were elevated, but according to the numbers I saw on Droid Life this has far outsold the Razr and Rezound, meaning there are a ton of Nexuses out there for every complaint I read. Of all of them, the reception / dropped calls are of the most concern to me. Just because I, personally, am not experiencing those problems doesn't mean they don't exist.

But in the end, my daily experience trumps any review, and I'm totally digging this phone.

I think signal and battery issues go hand in hand. I liked the phone but returned it. Signal was weaker than my other phone and I travel daily so it was a problem. I will probably wait for more efficient 4g radios to come out before I upgrade. All in all my current phone does everything the nexus does, just a lil slower.

Even though your signal is showing as being weaker does the phone still work? Yeah mine is weaker but everything still works and works great. I could care less of a update that will get me a placebo effect of stronger signals. I would rather know the truth of the signal and not have the phone lie to me.

You heard about a fix from marketing, they will tell you anything.

It's the Engineers that are working on the next update, not marketing.

Let them do their thing... We will be judge, jury and executioner if this doesn't happen by the cutoff return date!

My signal strength is weak, which is starting to bother me. I wasnt able to get online in Walmart to check online prices against the in-store price because i didnt have a signal in there. The phones volume is an issue for me as well. The alarm on it is barely loud enough to wake me up. I also really dont like the black crush when watching movies. Then there is the poor camera focus on the camera. For all these reasons, I'm considering switching to the HTC Rezound. I'm awaiting fixes for most of this stuff, but I'm skeptical that they will be fixed before the return date.

The Droid X I had had a better camera for movement and sharpness, got a better signal, and was louder than this phone.

One week after release I am rooted, rom'd, getting great battery life, volume is plenty loud enough for me, wifi tether works...I could not be happier.

What ROM are you using?

had to join in here. I have no idea where any of the complaints are coming from. Maybe it's because i came from a T-bolt. But the Nex is louder, faster, better in every way, stays connected longer, etc, etc...

I haven't found ONE problem. I don't count the little things. this phone is by far the best thing i have ever owned. Got a ASUS Prime for X-mas and haven't found the need to pick it up over the g-nex yet.

I also love my G-Nex. I had an HTC Droid previously, and while I liked it, the thing doesn't hold a candle to my Galaxy Nexus. I love everything about it, and have had only one problem with it that wasn't a problem between the keyboard and the chair :)

As I do with all my phones, I purchased the G-Nex unlocked, and dropped in my T-Mobile SIM. What's even more awesome about it is, unlike the Desire, I can use all of the T-Mobile functions - 3G works on this phone (not sure if 4G does or not yet), and, joy of joys, the function (forget what it's called) whereby the phone will switch to WiFi if the cell signal is too poor - WORKS! This is really awesome as I get lousy cell reception at my house.

I couldn't be more happy with the phone. No real complaints about the battery either, it's been lasting the same or longer than the Desire battery.
