Bionic extended battery awseome!

I can make it all day with an extended battery fully charged with heavy internet usage. Its a little bulky but I would much rather have this over razar for that reason alone. It seems im having less and less data drops on it too which is great.

. I moved this thread to the Droid Bionic forum so maybe you can talk some other users to get an extended battery if they are dealing with less than desireable battery life

. I know the extended battery on my thunderbolt is bulky as well but if you need it to last all day it is a good thing to have, LTE seems to love draining batteries.

I love my extended battery. Too bad I love my Otterbox more :-(

I wish the Shell/Holster combo offered better protection to the phone.

I think the new tpu case that was released for the extended battery fits in the holster from the shell/holster combo.

I have the verizon case thats made to fit extended battery..its not bad

I'm using the VZW Shell / Holster combo with dual extended batteries (charging one and using one) and I am happier than a pig in ... well, you know.

I just posted screen caps - look at this on an extended battery with light usage:

I get between 15 and 18 hours on heavy usage too - more than enough for a full day's worth of ... whatever.

My extended battery lasts me all day most days and I have been using the phone a ton always on 4g.

It's nice that the extended battery works so well. But I don't like how it makes the bionic look fat.

I hear you. I have the verizon shell case which is designed for the extended battery and it looks the same whether I use the stock or extended battery, so the thickness doesn't matter much to me.

And, I'm kind of fat, so my phone fits my style...

LoL. its a little beefy but worth it. The Bionic was already pretty lite so its not too heavy with the extended battery. I would rather have more weight and size then have to plug my phone in every 2 hours.

I still dont understand all the negative reviews on the screen. I love the screen. Way better colors then on my Itouch 4 with retna display.

I have two. Heavy use, i get 11-12 hours per battery. One of my batteries stopped working. Went to Verizon last week, and i was told that Verizon has stopped making the extended battery for the Bionic. I had to go to another store to pick up a replacement.

With LTE turned off (Need a Widget) I can go for a few days. I do like the TPU case and if I go for a bicycle ride switch batteries and put it in the Otter case.

Can you send me the link to that case? I looked on the verizon web site but cant figure out which one it is. I'd be interested replacing the back that comes with the extended battery.

And you do not need to remove he extended battery cover (and in fact it is probably a good idea that you do not - it may give your battery too much wiggle room to get disconnected without the cover on.

anybody have pictures of the bionic with the verizon extended battery? I bought an aftermarket 4000mah extended and it makes my bionic a tank, that i jsut carry it for backup. if the verizon one isn't THAT fat, i may get that option.

even a description of how thick it is may work... like does it make it thicker than the thickest part of the phone (top)?

Mine is wearing the TPU extended battery case, which adds just a little more thickness.

Yeah, I like the extended batt. provides me with plenty of juice ALL day with moderate to heavy usage. Which is great if you are traveling and needing to use GPS, phone, maps etc.

Really, the bulk isnt all that bad. Its just enough to keep the camera lens off the table and helps the phone feel better in my hand. Not really feeling a difference in my pocket.

I got the extended battey as a fluke and do not regret it at all! It is great!

I also got it for $24.99 in VA. The sales rep said the it is half off for the month of December so hurry if you want one!

Excellent thread, great info...I just got the Bionic myself. The battery is holding up so far, (about a day), with light usage.
