I loved handcent on my Original Droid but have had problems on my nexus. Tried to send a sms message today and could never get it to work. It kept giving me a "Handcent has stopped working" error message. Worked fine when I used the factory installed messaging app.

did you try the 3.99 update posted today? i've only used it a little bit so far but it appears to be working just fine

Yes, same issue here with the popup, but it is usable...enough of the "send" button is visible, above the keyboard. What is interesting though, is if you type a reply that is more than one line in length, the quick reply box actually moves up as soon as you start typing the second line of text.

Basically, with the pop up, when you get ready to type something in the box, the bottom part of the text box is still covered by the keyboard.

Secondly, if you close the pop up, I get a black box and I have to turn off the phone, then back on to log in.

Have you tried it with the stock keyboard or only SwiftKey?

Not mine, that is the problem. If there is more than one line, the quick reply box does not move and I can not see what I'm typing.

For those having the keyboard blocking the popup, have you tried going into handcent-settings-notification settings-popup settings-auto adjust for onscreen keyboard? I checked mine and I'm having no problems with swype blocking the popup.

Yes it is checked but thanks for looking into it. BTW do you auto open the on screen keyboard? I have tried both ways and still have this problem.

Yeah, mine does that too on the pop up. I am more concerned with a text
going to the wrong person, which I think was Handcent not Verizon when it happened last time before the update.
That is a little annoying though.

I don't auto open keyboard. I got a text a little bit ago and I kinda see what you guys are talking about. Just to test it out I typed in like eight rows of text and the box moved up and there were no problems with it blocking anything. Maybe it's keyboard related? I'm using the modified Swype found on droid-life.com. Maybe try using that keyboard for a bit and see if it fixes it? Even if you don't like Swype, at least it'll help diagnose the problem.
