Just got off the phone with a rep. The rep said that the promotion is for Midwest region only. I mentioned that the previous rep made a note on the order, and then after a few minutes of on hold she gave me a $50 discount on $250 I paid for. I would've gotten this phone for around $195 through Letstalk cuz I'm on family plan, so I took her offer and am happy with it.

Will a third party vendor like Let's Talk or Amazon let you use another line's upgrade like Verizon directly can? Use the line's upgrade, then activate the phone on a line you already have?

You sure about Amazon? I think I did exactly that with Amazon a year ago. (unless their policy has changed since then).

Best Buy priced matched mine Galaxy Nexus for $225.99, to match the Letstalk.com deal. Couldn't get the extra $75 since they had removed it from their facebook page by the time I made it into the store.

Since my wife's line is the primary number, they price matched hers to $199.99 to match Amazon wireless. Couldn't match mine to that price since the deal was only on primary line.

Pretty happy with the amount paid, well under suggested retail and we didn't have to order online and wait for them to be delivered.

Let's Talk and Amazon couldn't do it for me, but guess who was able to do it? Best Buy, believe it or not. They also pricematched Let's Talk and met me partway on the coupon, so I was $200 out the door (plus tax) for my Nexus. I was worried like crazy that they would screw up my unlimited data, and there were actually a couple error messages on the terminal while they were processing my upgrade. But when it was all said and done, I got my shiny new Galaxy Nexus, and later verified I still have the unlimited data on the line I activated it on. Took a simcard swap in the process, but it all worked out. Best Buy was the last place I expected to do this. I called Let's Talk on the phone and they were completely unwilling to try and make it work for me, despite Verizon direct advising me that a third party should be able to.

Yeah, that's pretty much mostly what I did, but when I did it the coupon was still available. Had to get manager approval though. Technically Best Buy only has to match local competition. Anything beyond that is the discretion of the manager. Sounds like you and I both lucked out though, and this Galaxy Nexus is worth every stinkin' penny.

$229.99 from wirefly with NO tax. that was such a good deal for me b/c i would have had to pay about $60 bucks extra if i upgraded from vzw. best part was that i ordered it thursday and it arrived the next day and i didnt have to pay for shipping!
