Root [ROM][WIP]CM7 Port for Vortex VS660

Okay since you mentioned you work by feedback; current issues i can think of from latest build.
1- people you call can't/barely can hear you.
2- sensors and vibration.
3- svga resolution camera
4- audio recording i guess

And i think that's all of them then.

unrelated- Out of boredom flashed the ics rom for optimus m just to see. have pics to show. :3

ok yesterday i was messing with my phone and bricked it to the first LG screen, (trying to install clockwork recovery) so i ended up learning a bunch, well i unbricked it (got it to boot and flashed a new recovery using adb shell) then decided to try the nand backup from geoffery, that worked, camera works, screen animations are still buggy. but everything including sensors work. so at this point i am happy. Thank you to everyone that helped..

So basically we have a functional ROM - sans the fact that it takes away two basic features of a phone: the ability to talk to people (they can't hear) and the ability to take pictures?

Is Breakneck a no-frills, fully functional ROM for the time being?

Use Geoffrey's nand backup of the earlier build. And both of the things you complained about will work. Not screen animations though. Read back to find it.

i installed the ics rom on mine but it wont unlock

ics ROM? The one i posted isn't made for this phone.

I flashed my Vortex today...using 12/2 build. I also flashed the kernel update. Still don't have working phone (no one can hear me) and no screen rotation...all else seems okay...downloading geofferey nand backup now...last post indicated that this should fix all issues...will see. I've used BreakNeck 3 and 4 and LightningC ROMs so far, this one looks great...just need to work through the last couple concerns.

ok here is what to do..
method 1 I Bricked my LG Vortex - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com
method 2 remove battery and unplug phong, insert battery and as soon as you see LG screen (RIGHT AWAY) press home up and power (or mayby home down and power) anyway it will boot into your original rom and then you can load a new recobery with adb shell

I'm already tried method 1, no success.

Question for method 2, how long that I must press home, up, and power? I tried remove battery, unplug phone, insert battery but no LG Screen (phone still off). After I press 3 button, the phone show LG screen only. When I plug the USB Cable, I can't using adb. And after several minutes, it said usb not recognized

make sure the phone has enough battery and just try to boot into recovery by holding the volume down and the home button and press the power button. release the power button and hold the home and volume down buttons until you boot into the recovery kernel you installed. if that doesn't work, then you might have completely bricked your phone.... then again i'm a newbie too so what do I know about bricking a phone? *shrug*

by the way do not have your usb cord plugged in while booting. it may stop you from booting into recovery.

good luck buddy.

Is this rom actually working decent? I remember when i had a optimus on virgin mobile the CM7 port worked great. I just bought a mint condition vortex off ebay with clean ESN for $45 shipped and wanted to try a rom on it. Came here and saw there is basically no roms for this phone at all. THe stock LG software sucks big time

I can't enter recovery mode :( But, I can adb my phone, but the only once and my fault that I didn't flash the recovery immediately. After that, I can't adb my phone anymore.

no if vol down is recovery then vol UP is what you want.. as SOON as you see the phone gets power. hold it until the second LG screen apears

what is .... mean? Second LG Screen appear? Did you mean, the LG Logo after flashing one?
