Help Calendar reminder pop-up/screen wake-up

Hi all. I've noticed on my GN that calendar reminders DO NOT wake my screen up (nor do I get a pulsating LED light). Instead they only vibrate and play the notification sound.

When I wake the screen I see the calendar icon in the top-left as usual.

I have pop-up notifications checked in my calendar settings. Is this normal functionality or is something amiss?

mine doesn't, like you it just vibrates and plays the notification sound. my incredible woke the screen up along with the notifications but that could have been an htc sense thing as well.
one setting i may have missed or is missing in ICS, my incredible also used to annoy you until you dealt with it. every 5 or 10 minutes if you didn't dismiss or snooze it it would would wake the screen and notifications again. ICS seems to (or what i have noticed so far) only alert you once, and like you said no LED light either.

glad to have found this thread! calendar snooze seems to do what i need, which is to give me a better reminder that just the piddly little notification sounds! i need something like the alarm function which forces me to snooze or dismiss the calendar appt, and with a LOUD sound! already missed a couple important appointments.

i am testing the text to speech voice notifications AND the vibrate AND the notification sounds. hopefully that will be enough. it does seem to screen wake and do everything claimed on my first test appt. the text to speech feature is pretty cool.

thanks to the poster above who suggested it, and to the dev. just hope it's a safe clean app.

running the htc rezound, rooted, cleanrom 4.3 std btw.

sweet calendar snooze even notified me that i was two minutes late to my test appt. looks good so far!
