Help Sirius Radio App Issue on Nexus

Hello all!
I use the Sirius app on a pretty regular basis and ever since I upgraded to the GNex, the app seems to like to close itself if I do almost anything else with my phone while Sirius is running. For example, I start Sirius up, listen for a few minutes just fine (the screen is asleep, but when woken up it would be displaying the Sirius app screen), then if I go to look at let's say, my photo gallery, Sirius will stop playing in the background.

Now, it doesn't always happen and its not connection based, this happens on all types of connections. In fact I've experience Sirius cutting out when I refresh my Twitter feed or similar, this is different.

Its almost like the phone is having trouble allocating memory to the app so if something else is started, it shuts down Sirius first. Sorry for the wall of text, just looking for some insight or maybe just some other people having a similar issue so I'm not alone and therefore have hope of this being solved in the future.

tl;dr: Sirius app closes itself (or is closed by the phone) when other activities are started, not connection based.

Same....it's a shame because I listen to Sirius all the time, especially since I spend nearly two hours per day on a train.

I hate to put down the developers at Sirius, but all of their internet based products...the online player, android app, and iPad app are pretty poor and have the most problems out of any of the apps I use...although the iPad app has been working a little bit better since the recent update.

the android sirius app is terrible, it's in dire need of an update. the iphone one is so much better. you can rewind and pause up to 8 hours on any channel. so you can wake up at 8am and start listening to howard from the start of the show. i think the problem is that the android app doesn't cache enough. i have also noticed when i am on wifi with the screen off on my nexus the audio is constantly cutting out on the android version.

Big Opie and Anthony fan... its the only reason I'm paying for XM... Its not the phone, its the app... if you look at the info page on the app, they list phones they tested it on... it says they expect it to work on other devices, but they can not guaranty it working on any phone they have not listed. And the GNex is not on the list...

The app is buggy anyway on the listed phones. My last phone was the Incredible.. it works better on that phone (it IS listed as a tested device) but its not 100% on it either. Hell, the web page based listening on the PC craps out all the time.

I havent encountered any of these issues, still dealing with the crappy quirks and shortcomings i did with the droid x. Still no landscape mode is bs...

I run the app in the car for my 45 minute to and from work. I have found hat with the nexus it seems to keep the stream up better than the old droid x when switching cell sites, etc on the ride and going into roaming.

Whats with this galaxy nexus phone? Is that like space shampoo or somphin?
Tsss... tsss....
