This is a toro build of my maguro ROM found here:

http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1399238

Apex rides again! (the ROM formerly known as bigxie IML74K now has a new name!)

This is a generally stock ROM with mods chosen to add to functionality without detracting from the Ice Cream Sandwich experience that Google envisioned. I built this ROM from AOSP, merged in mods from CM9, AOKP, GummyNex, RootzBoat, and other ROMS, to create what I feel is a perfect mixture of stock feel and helpful customizations.

I had a lot of fun building, testing, and running this ROM. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

Features
  • Built from AOSP source code - synced 12/31/2011
  • Stock look and feel with useful mods
  • Customizeable Lockscreen (2/4 targets, custom app for SMS)
  • Customizeable Notification Pulldown Widgets
  • Customizeable Search & Menu Softkeys w/ color control
  • Customizeable batteries (%, circle, bar, miui bar)
  • Customizeable Trebuchet Launcher (from CM9)
  • T9 Predictive (smart) dialer
  • Built in Perfomance Settings (a la SetCPU)
  • Rooted and busybox preinstalled
  • Facebook sync enabled
  • 3.0.18 Imoseyon 1.8.0 Kernel - Fast and Stable (thread link)
  • Advanced Power Menu w/ reboot and screenshot options
  • All apks deodexed/zipaligned/optimized
Credits
  • Google: for creating ICS and the AOSP
  • birdman: for CMDA build, proprietary files help, helping me fix camera effects
  • kejar31: helping me with the gapps, APM, auto restore fix, and more
  • CyanogenMod: Trebuchet launcher, back button app killer, T9, and more
  • paulobrien/romanbb: facebook sync fix
  • romanbb: nav bar color, sms custom app picker, volume controls, and more
  • rascarlo: custom boot animation and wallpapers
  • imoseyon: kernel pointers and UV control fix, provided kernel
  • jrummy16: Performance settings
  • xoomdev: navigation bar settings, clock controls, and more
  • syaoran12: customizeable batteries, miui bar, and more
And anyone I may have missed, thank you!

Instructions

  • Wipe data and cache! Just wipe cache and dalvik if coming from an earlier build
  • Flash ROM file
  • Flash my GAPPs file immediately afterwards prior to rebooting.
  • Reboot
  • Profit
Quirks
  • Flashlight and 2G/3G Toggle do not work
  • Battery types sometimes don't change (just toggle back and forth until it does)
  • MIUI battery bar requires a screen toggle (on/off) to update after an orientation change
  • Using a nonstandard DPI will cause the softkeys to be off-center
Things to be aware of
  • Network ADB requires a ramdisk change -- if your kernel doesn't support it, please contact the dev!
  • If Facebook picture sync is not working after contacts have synced, please clear the application cache and data, sign in again, and it will sync.
  • Please allow the phone some time to sync initially (calendar, picasa, bookmarks, etc.)
  • If market auto restore gets stuck, a reboot should fix it

Flashed last night, ROM is up and running great. The only glitch that I've run across is the Facebook syncing with contacts...it just won't do it. Also, 1.35 Ghz runs fine on my device and the battery life is better than stock, after 7 hrs of moderate use I'm down to 50%, stock I would have been in the 30% range. Anyone else having problems with the Facebook sync?

Have you tried a force re-sync? Uncheck it in account settings and recheck it. Also did you use FB prior to your flash? I'd go into apps and clear data from FB. Also you could uninstall FB and reinstall it. It takes some time to sync so give it a bit after you try these things

Yep, that seems to have done the trick...the pictures are loading now, had to delete data and cache, and re-sign in, thanks!

ok so what i have found is that if you don't turn off wifi before you leave wifi range while running this rom the phone will constantly bootloop till you get back in range. Fab i need your help on this one.

I am not having any of the problems you seem to be having. I leave wifi on and have no issues. Yes I use the wifi and I am not always in range of a wifi signal.

really crap...yeah I tested it by turning off wifi and then walking away from my house. when I turned wifi back on it just started bootlooping till i got back in range of the signal. If its not the rom then I really have no clue as to what it could be. Maybe its the radios i downloaded I am going to pull those out and go check again....so i don't want anyone to think my issues are a problem with the rom cause its great...apparently the wifi bootloop happens even on new out of the box phones <sigh> http://androidforums.com/verizon-galaxy-nexus/464201-stuck-boot-loop-2.html

I installed this yesterday and it has been great so far. The battery life is awesome, the added setting are great and I have not had any kind of glitches/problems at all. I would definitely recommend trying it out, as usual, Fab's work is outstanding.

I installed this yesterday as well and so far running very smooth.

What added settings are you talking about? I haven't even had time to even look at anything in it yet.

And i will answer my own question from above. Lean Kernel plays fine with this rom. I am on lean kernel 1.3.0, haven't upgraded to the new 1.5.0 yet.

Once again, amazing work Fab (been a fan ever since ApeX on my Droid X).

This ROM has exactly what I want and nothing I don't:
-Fantastic battery life (first day on the new ROM/kernel and I made it 24hrs off charger w/mix of 4g and wifi, 2h15m screen on at 50%, only lost 5% syncing overnight)
-Snappy! The speed difference from stock is significant
-Customizable notification power toggles baked in (don't need to use Widgetsoid)
-SetCPU functionality baked in
-Long press back button to kill task.
-Stable. No FC's or reboots like I've experienced on some other UV kernels.

Love it!

Enjoy your beer money, Mr. Xie :)
