Some of these developers need the **** slapped out of them. Trying to get an app that turns on the LED on my nexus and some of these apps have permission for full internet access and reading data off the phone!! Why in the hell does a flashlight app need to access the net or read and write to the damn SD card?? This is just ludicrous! I know Google was desperate to get app numbers up there but now with over 400K apps, they need to be more selective. Either provide an easy way in ICS to block these permissions or reject apps that go to far and demand access to unneeded permissions!

1. Internet access: Ads if its a free app. For sending feedback if the app has a "feedback" option in the settings.

3. read data off the phone: to see if the camera app is running, so it won't override.

Just download the app, disconnect the internet and see if there is anything in there that might justify the usage. If you find it not to your liking, uninstall it. If you think its fine, then keep it. Afterwhich reenable the internet.
