What is the difference between the two versions? I'm still on 1.10.21 and haven't been paying much attention to updates recently.

I'm still on 1.10.21 too; the FC Handcent issue with wizard's builds right now is a deal breaker for me.

I'm running 1.12.9 right now, works nice except it wont take any ringtone except the default system sounds, not sure why and it still has issues playing videos and taking pictures like all the other roms out there it seems, its also a rom that wont work properly with Slacker Radio, a few do and a few dont, when they dont, Slacker will just skip songs without you doing anything and of course if you are using the free version you can run out of skips real quick....

But otherwise it runs nice

Ringtones is still an ongoing issue I think.

Yes they are. With every build I believe. How I get around this is I copy the ringtone to the system/media folder and change the permissions to rw-r-r. It works with notifications and sms tones also.

in a more experienced user's opinion..i ran MIUI on my DX back in July and haven't ran it since..I am currently on Fab's Apex 2.0 RC 3 - is the current MIUI from this thread something you recommend running?

are there a lot of known bugs? any obvious dealbreakers?

what ringtone issue is being mentioned here? i am on the GB MIUI and have had no issue at all with ringtones. I am using mp3, ogg and system tones and they all work

If I have specific ringtones setup for individuals, it ignores that. There are work-arounds, but I'm too lazy.

OK, that makes more sense now. It seemed there was a lack of ringtone compatibility from the way it was written.
What is the complete list of known bugs? I am on the MIUI.us site also, and that place is a mess to navigate.

I don't know if it's a MIUI issue or a Light Flow Pro issue, but I have noticed Light Flow is flat out not working with Handcent. No matter what specific notifications for contacts I have set, the generic SMS tone plays. Otherwise, getting ringtones to work is a maze of going through themes, then music.

(Granted, Light Flow has consistantly not worked for me since Froyo, so it may just hate my phone in particular.)

when I was running MIUI a version or so back I had all sorts of trouble getting a ringtone to stick. I wound up installing ringroid and made a new ringtone and it took right away. Might give that a shot if you havent.

Yeah, but I paid for Light Flow, and it's not just MIUI it hasn't worked with; there's been problems of one sort or another since Froyo. Hell, last time I saved the settings and restored them, they restored everything: but in the wrong order. And the time before that, the same.

I just wondered if maybe anyone else running this rom is using it, and is it working for them?

I'm running 1.12.30 with Lightflow (free version) without any problems. I think I had some issues at the Froyo release where it didn't work for a bit, but ever since it's been great.

Lucky. I'm just going to set up some Tasker profiles. At least I know they'll work.

I'm sad, though; since wizard took over, MIUI has had FC issues with Handcent, which I use. But I can't switch to CM7 GB, because it has issues with Flex T9, which I also use, unless I use an older version without the 720 fix. So I'm still on DXC's .22, twiddling and waiting.

FC's might be from the DefX base that they switched to for MIUI Dx.

I dunno; I thought DXC switched over before .22, and that's what I'm still on with no real issues. It's only wizard's ports that I see the FC issue as an actual bug listed, and it's definitely there; I tried running it, then had to roll back.

In any event, I just get to wait, that's all. I like the 2nd init roms, and don't really feel like changing.
