KL3 Battery Drain

So i recently flashed the latest 2.3.6 to my phone and have juice defender and around 33 percent screen brightness. It seems my phone drains 1 percent on standby which is fine but when the screen is on it drains 10 percent in 20 minutes. I have auto sync off and low auto brightness. So my question is should i just flash a custom kernel, or revert to a older firmware. Thanks any ideas appreciated.

First off, auto brightness is never a good idea. You want a consistent screen brightness of just bright enough to where you can see moderately well in a well lit room. Unless you're trying to make yourself strain your eyes to go blind in the near future!

The main things, besides JD (I love that app) is brightness, wifi/bluetooth/autosync/gps off, underclocked kernel, and a gutted bloatware ROM.

Cheers mate.

EDIT: I also find that putting JD on extreme, or having it automatically turn off wifi and data whenever it pleases makes your battery last days. It will annoy you though, but it's worth it.
