few newb questions!!!

Got the Skyrocket 3 days ago and after leaving sprint (they consider 100kb a sec dl as "normal 3g")

im super happy ...my only gripes are 3

Is there anyway to change the icons on the bottom bar?? like the email one for Gmail and the Internet one for Dolphin HD??

also is there a way to find numbers to call easier...on my Evo i just pressed 2 and it gave me all the numbers based on the letters that symbolize 2. on the skyrocket i have to go to contacts and look for them

To customize the bottom dock u need to download a launcher from the market. I use Go launcher EX with text icons. As for quick contact by the push of the button you can always set a contact to be called with an individual number on your keypad. That or download a contact widget from the market.

on the skyrocket you do not "need" an app launcher to change the bottom dock but you do get more customization this way.

Open your app drawer. Press menu. Edit

Spb is definitely a nice launcher...but by no means a nessecity to accomplish what you need.

Samsung does have a contacts widget built in...you can also try dialer one from the market.

The OEM Contacts app also has a Favorites button. You can assign whatever contacts you want to appear in your favorites when you hit the button. Press the little star on the right side of the full contact list to "favorite" one.

The favorites screen also has a handy "recently called" list that appears below your list of favorite contacts. I always find my taxi number and my Chinese delivery joint there, because I call them frequently.

how did you get the custom icons on the top of the screen? thats a must have for me
