[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

I'm finally ready to root and this will be the first rom I flash. What kernels work well with this one? And any good mods for it? is the horizontal recent apps list on the first page still available? That one looks awesome

Any kernel based off 4.0.3 will work with this Rom. Some focus more on stability and battery life, some more on performance. Some a blend between. It's all trial and error to see which YOU like most.

Some great mods are available, most of them are in the first post in this thread. And Brucekeys horizontal recent app list is available for the latest #17 build :)

Can someone with build 17 and lean kernel 1.6.1exp1 run a test for me? During a phone call, bring up a Google Map. My screen kept going blank every second or so, then working again briefly. It finally blanked out permanently, requiring me to pull the battery to end the call.

On franco's kernel, I could not replicate this.

Anyone on 17 noticing the recent apps soft key doesn't work? I did a complete wipe from 15, using Nova and have the search key added. Thankfully they added a long press of home to get to recent apps.

Edit: nevermind it's working now.

Glad you got it. :) Usually a reboot solves many 1st flash initial issues.

I just went back through the thread here , rootz and xda..wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion: I seem to be having some radio issues on this ROM...while in sleep I am being dropped from my wifi AND/OR 4g and have to go through Settings to change out of which ever one i was in, and then change it back, BUT only occasionally. Its not every time . And not sure why. Does anyone know if this ROM actually includes the updated radios? Or has anyone flashed the updated radios with this? I understand that the radios for lte and wifi were an issue for some people, and just wanted to hear the consensus or suggestions....or how to find out what is happening...like a log somewhere? Thanks

Radios are something you can flash separately. ROM's don't come with radios. The ROM should also not affect your radio reception. Did you do a full complete wipe when you went to 17?

I have tried the new radio, but it wasn't any different for me than the stock radio ymmv.

I did a full wipe, and this the only ROM I have flashed so far. On M2 with leankernal. I will nandroid and flash the radios and then see if maybe one of my apps was keeping data open or recycling the data for some reason. Thanks for the response.

Toggles as in pull down toggles?

If so, where are these enabled?

Thanks!

Pull down your notification bar and tap the little equalizer thingy icon next to the date. Also, go to settings> rom control> toggles and you can customize the toogle enabled, order, and their look. You can also customize whether or not you want them to hide upon closing the notification bar or remain :)

Bro you are the man! Thanks.

How does this rom compare to P3droids? His pull down mods look sick!
