Help Bluetooth Audio in car

i connected my nexus in my car for music via Bluetooth and none of the songs or controls come up on my car display. i have to play it controlling my phone. when i had my droid X it worked the correct way. any ideas?

I'm guessing you have a built-in factory bluetooth car radio? What does the Manufacturer of your car say? It's possible it affects more than the SGN. What car is it?

bluetooth works great with my satechi (sp?) fm adapter where some older moto products would flake out on the bluetooth connection all the time.

In my wife's Toyota, if I connect bluetooth audio, the controls are fairly minimal. It pretty much autoplays whatever your default audio player is. On screen (its a touchscreen DVD/Nav radio) the controls are very basic. You have 2 buttons on screen. I think its a play/pause and a stop (or maybe next). That's it. The track buttons also allow you to go to previous or next tracks as well. There is no track information transmitted, nothing. You basically get a simple remote control for your phone. Play, Pause, Next, Last.

Have you tried an alternate music app, besides google music (stock). At least that would help narrow down the issue if another app works. Sounds like you are able to pair ok. My only other thought would be to go through any settings/setup available from the car. And sometimes bluetooth can have that cure-all of unpairing and repairing.
