Should I upgrade?

Lately I've been thinking of upgrading to a triumph. I have the Optimus V, which I really like but I need more speed. I've heard many people say that the truimph has a lot of problems but I also heard that you can fix them by installing a custom rom. (which I know how to do) I've been waiting for the Optimus black but I lost my patience. The Optimus black is headed for boost mobile:( So should I wait or "upgrade"?

No IMO.
I have a triumph and I keep going back and forth between it and my optimus.
My Triumph hits 2Ghz no problem and my optimus tops out at 800Mhz and they both have 512mb of ram. Something that isn't obvious is that the triumph has about an additional 100MB reserved for some good awful reason and that makes it tend to run out of memory after a few apps are launched. The most I ever usually have is a little over 200MB free and more realistically 140MB or so most the time. With my Optimus I usually have a max of 300MB free and a normal of around 260MB available.
I notice that it makes a bit of difference given different circumstances. Add the GPS issues that almost every triumph has and I'd say it's not even close to worth it unless the extra screen space is that important to you.
I can't begin to explain how annoying it is trying to get a GPS lock and then watching your data drop once you finally get one, but that's probably my biggest peve so far. It's a good phone, but not good enough to justify the upgrade I think.

I wouldn't go for the triumph, but I'd like to upgrade to the Optimus slider, because of the keyboard. The only problems I've ever had with my OV were that sometimes it doesn't send messages, receive them, and resends messages that were already send, when the phone reboots. And occasionally it will reboot on its own.

Aside from the GPS issue (which I wouldn't use so that's not a problem to me) are the memory issues a big factor? I don't multitask that much so I'm not thinking it'll be to big an issue, just looking for insight since I'm most likely getting one here soon.

I'm getting the triumph (personally) for better games. I'm fine with small memory. I force move most of everything to sd anyway. Great coverage in my area. Gps problems? I'm sure there's a fix or app to solve that.

if you look around the cell phone sites, you see 3x more trouble post with the triumph then the OV.
