[Review][+Pics] Seidio Surface Case and Holster

I bought this set up for my Inspire in March 2011. In Dec 2011 my phone fell from the holster to the ground!!!

Unless Seidio has changed their product specs and started using stainless steel, the spring that keeps the phone clipped into the holster rusts, then breaks. I have seen this to be true on mine, one a co-worker bought for his Inspire, and the one I bought my GF for her EVO. I bought mine directly from Seidio, my GFs from Amazon, and I am unsure where my co-worker bought his.

A couple months after I got the holster the spring "relaxed" and was not as strong as when I first got it, which I kind of liked because it was easier to click the phone in one handed...I now realize it was probably one side of the spring had already broken.

Seidio will replace it, first you have to fill out a form to get permission to return it (get an RMA number) then you have to return it with a bunch of specific instructions and within a week or your RMA is no longer valid, and of course pay for shipping. In the meantime customer service acted as though I broke this thing by using it, and hung up on me when I said the product was junk. He said he was going to help me, but not if I dissed his company.

I didn't and won't return it to get another piece of junk I won't trust to hold my phone anyway. I hope you see different results...if not I hope you happen to be on grass like I was when it lets go and sends your phone on a free fall from your waist.
