I was reading this thread yesterday because I also dropped my Moment (screen was totally shattered), and was looking to see what others had figured out. After looking through this thread and other places, I decided to just take it in to a service center and take my lumps.
Boy am I glad I did. Those folks over there really hooked me up. I was expecting to have to leave it there for a couple of weeks, and to pay big $ to get it fixed. When I first went in, they told me it would cost $120, but that they could fix it in 20 minutes. That was better than I expected, so I told them to go ahead.
15 minutes later, they handed it back to me, and said, "here you go. no charge." Now THAT'S what I call customer service. Mad props to Sprint, and to the nice folks at the Sprint service center I went to in Indianapolis!
The only thing that bummed me out was that while I was there, I noticed the Moment was now going for $99- I paid $169 not two months ago. Bad timing on my part, I guess.
