Help Keeping the Lockscreen up Longer

Just found this Epic forum and am delighted. I used the EVO 4G forum extensively, but this looks a little different so I'll probably be posting in the wrong places for a bit.

Can you keep the lock screen visible longer than the fleeting couple of seconds I have right now? Everything seems to go black a lot faster on the Epic than the EVO.

I really, really like this phone a lot! EVO was good, but this one is better. :)

Menu - Settings - Display - Screen timeout
Also if you want to just be able to directly view homescreen (avoiding swyping the screen to get to homescreen), download No Lock (BoD) - it is free and I love it. I no longer have to swype to get to the homescreen. When you open it, the screen may display "Locking enabled" touch so it shows "Locking disable"
Also to "end call" quickly, go to Menu - settings - Accessibility - check the power key ends calls.
Just some helpful tips if you haven't found these yet

With my iPhone 4 with JB ..I can do things that you just can dream my friend.....I have an Htc Sensation Xe the most powerful smartphone on the planet.....two great devices.....Onestly speaking the iPhone 4 with JB is 3 years ahead in the future.....and....still the best smartphone on earth because the Apple's ecosystem is much much advanced.

That only affects the display when the phone is already unlocked. To my knowledge there is no way to adjust the Lockscreen's timeout period with the stock system settings. I'm rooted and use a custom theme that comes with TSM Parts, which allows one to change a plethora of UI settings including the duration the lockscreen remains visible. If it really bugs you, I would look into rooting (quite an easy process with this phone) and installing This
