Thankfully, it's purely aesthetic. The loading bar/indicator that is used whenever an application or file is downloaded/installed. the loading bar is supposed to be that way. it didn't come out as good as it did in my WP7 theme so i might change it a little in 2.5

i guess i can try yet another fresh install/wipe/etc..

is 2.4 buggy? or is it ready for daily use?

i think i had a2sd move dalvik to sd, do you think that may be the problem?

though i think it lagged before i moved it anyway :thinking:

2.4 makes some people sound like they are in a tunnel when using bluetooth. other then that its fine

oh ok.... any chance you'd consider removing the lock while in calls? or if possible delaying it. you're rom is great the way it is just giving some possible ideas for updates lol.
oh and for anyone who has battery life issues, after a fresh install i had the same problems..my percentage seemed to drop every minute. i tried out nemesis rom but decided to come back to ctmod. did a fresh install, exact same way as before and my battery has improved...well went back to normal. have no idea why but worth the time if u have same problem.

Depends on how fast your sd card is. A slow sd card class 2 or 4 will certainly cause lag when it needs to access things on the card.
But if you have a fast card there wont be problems.

I have apps and davilk on sd with no problems had a guy with a lg esteem say he wished his phone was as snappy as mine.

I agree. I have a class 10 card with ctmod 2.4 and dta2sd, and this phone is quite snappy.

you can try this:

1) make a backup in CWM
2) flash 2.4
3) go to backup and restore>advanced restore
4) pick your backup and pick restore data

you may want to wipe your dalvik cache after doing this tho

you absolutely do want to go into advanced wipe dalvik or you will just get boot looping.

When you do the Factory Wipe, doesn't it reformat all the partitions?

No only the data and cache partitions.

I have been using this method from the beginning with no issues on updating.
All settings transfer over smooth as butter, only difference is the new version.
It is like getting an OEM update over the air!
I urge people to not waste time re-doing their phones from scratch per update and use this method.

My Prevail now "ROCKS"

I installed CTMod2.4 and WP7Clock1.1 and now my phone is faster and working better than it ever has. The instalation an instructions were a breeze.
Not sure what I like the most about it , there are SOOO many things!.. just luv all the bloatware being removed, with the option of the apk installer to put back what I want to use.

Reboot options, adb enabled on boot.. I just LUV!

Carrier IQ removed, Data Throttle removed and so much more!

Great job Blood, and all involved!

You should change your ctmod name to bamod because it is BAD ASS!!!
This mod is a lean, mean mod!!!
I can customize the hell out of it and it don't lag! and the way you kept ciq in mind!
another reason im running it is cause I got access to manipulating prls LOL!

Hey Bloodawn, Just wondered if you could make a bar on the right side of the contacts with the alphabet, like the iph@ne, or can someone recommend an app for that i guess. I have a lot of contacts and getting to something that starts with a T takes a while. Thanks, and I LOVE this rom! With a2sd she's runnin' fast

i can look into it and see if i can do anything

dunno if this would help you but you can try pressing menu and search while in contacts, then you can just hit T or whatever and it will show you all your contacts that start with that

i have a lot of contacts as well. when you start to scroll through them a scroll bar will pop up. if you use the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen you can faster scroll through your contact and a letter of the alphabet will pop up on the screen as well
