Accessories Got an HTC 1500mah battery today.

My Fiancee got hers at Xmas, she says she hasnt noticed any real difference in battery life. I just added setCPU and now she sees a less battery drain - Should I complain, maybe get a replacement?

Idk man, everyone I know who has one of these, including myself, has seen a noticeable improvement in battery life. I can get over 60 hours with light use and 30-35 with normal/heavy use with this battery. I'd be lucky to get 8-12 with normal/heavy on the stock 1300 mAh

With the new HTCExpress 1800mah, first charge has now gone 24 hours, with 33% remaining. Pretty much normal use, if not very slightly heavier. First time I've ever gone 24 hours with this much remaining. I was using the hTC 1500mah.

Historically, I've noticed it takes a few full charge/discharge cycles until a new battery hits it's stride. My goal was just to make it a full day with my heavier usage pattern, and it would appear this just might do it. Lookin' good at least.

I'll update again in a few days.

I just got my two 1500 batteries from celllounge.com off of amazon.com today. I was wondering if anyone else has had this same problem. I got both batteries out of the package and looked them over. I paid for what they said were new batteries, well they're not new. They're definately used batteries, you can look at the contacts and tell they've been installed alot. One has sticky junk on it and stuff like that. They are not new at all, anyone else had this problem?

Here is where I ordered from, Amazon.com: Used and New: HTC Standard Battery for HTC XV6175, Imagio, Hero (CDMA)

I also just received my two 1800mAh batteries and wall charger from HTCExpress.com. Again, I know it takes a few charge cycles but so far I'm having a hard time killing this battery!

Question: Has anyone solved the slight gap in the case? I know that will be a magnet for lint and grime. Plus when people pick up my phone they will be sure to point it out and that's lame...

I have the 1800 battery and I don't have an issue with gaps in the battery cover. You have to use some force to get all the clips to click, but they eventually will snap into place.

I got
1
THIS case for mine, it's a great, light weight, no bulk shell/case that adds an extra layer of defense against scratches while keeping the phone slim. I like it and it covers the sides hiding any gaps. My gap is very minor and over time has gotten smaller but this case was a good cosmetic solution to a cosmetic problem. :)

EDIT: had to edit a few times to get the link to work right :p

EDIT AGAIN: the one I got was a generic for $4 if I can find a listing for it I will post.. HERE it is! :p

Thanks for the tips guys. I am loving the amount of battery life I get out of the 1800mAh and the wall charger is just extra convenient for having a spare always charging (although it takes HOURS to charge...).

Anyone have any experience with the White back covers? My fiancee and I are constantly mixing up our phones and I was thinking about ordering one of those anyway

I just got the HTC Express 1800 batteries & charger in yesterday. So far, so good!

I'm on my first full charge and it's at 92% with 3:47 up time & 53 minutes awake. Normally I would probably be around 80% at this point with the stock battery.

The only minor 'issue' with the battery is that due to the larger size, the back cover creaks at the bottom center if I squeeze the front and back of the phone together. I can live with that though since the phone is in a case.

I just got the 1800ma battery yesterday. It seems like it's double the original battery's capacity, though I realize it's 1800/1300. Or from what I've read, maybe it's not even 1800. However it definitely seems like it lasts a LOT longer. Great buy for $20.

This is what's confusing me too! I can't believe the extra battery life I'm getting out of my phone right now.

Currently:
27:02 - Up time
7:04 - Awake time

I spent the first 10 hours without even being connected to Wifi and I had Bluetooth on. The rest has been bluetooth on, wifi connected. Plus I love knowing that I can just go grab my other fully charged battery from the wall!

I'm on my second charge with the 1800 battery and got 37 hours up and 8 hours awake with 11% left. :D

I'm running virtuous 3.2 with Lou's #8 kernal and the 11.19 radio.

Great suggestion. I am downloading his #7 kernel now.

Side note: In his #8 kernel he states there's no multi-touch support. Does he just mean there no 10 point multi-touch support, or there's none at all?

LOL! I pray that you're kidding. Why would someone make a kernel that wouldn't support any touch on a touch screen phone?? I'm using #8 now and it's very smooth, fast and I'm getting great battery life. FYI, It doesn't work on all ROM's so make a backup before flashing just in case

Ha sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant multi-touch support, obviously it would have touch support! haha

I'm going to go ahead and download it though, #7 worked great for me yesterday.

(I'm running Virtuous 3.2)

okay, from reading this thread, i bought the 1800 white htc chi chi express battery!

Very excited!

have used it for 2 days... and, not that impressed.

it's not bad, not at all, i feel like it stays above 80% longer than usual, maybe it's the way i've been charging it, i tried to bump charge it, i don't usually, though.

i have used it more, today, taking video and phone calls and stuff, and i was dead by 7pm. left the house around 7:40.

what do you guys think?

i read that the new extended battery from seidio benefits from leaving it in the charger PAST the green light, like a couple hours for the first week.

should i do something like that for this batterY?

could be the ROM you are running Sense/AOSP, the kernel or it just needs some time to settle in.. I am trying to remember what I did with mine but there may have been a work in period. give it a good week and see if it gets better. hope this helps and good luck.

thanks, i will keep trying it out. i'm running stock...

but maybe i'll root and try and more battery efficient ROM. recommend any?

I vote OMGB all the way! that's what I ran for about a year. think of it as turning your Incredible into a Nexus S cause it's a 99% stock vanilla Android ROM built from AOSP, it's also the smallest Incredible ROM in MB as well so it runs super smooth and doesn't take up a lot of space. if you want more extras OMFGB is his tweaked one. If you want to give ICS a try he has a ROM in Alpha stage OMX I tried it out a few times but there are things not working but it's something to keep an eye on cause ICS is really nice.

There is of course CM7 (CyanogenMod) which is probably the most popular, If you still want SenseUI I have no good suggestions cause it's been a long time since I tried any of them.. I found a helpful forum POST over at XDA that lists all the current ROMs for the DInc. Good Luck!
