Help phone locks it self while using

hi new here, i hope i can get some help here.
i just bought the galaxy ace two days ago, it was great until I realize that the phone randomly went brighter, and then the screen goes dark, as it was locked, but I isn

To change the language, from the Home Screen press the Menu button & choose the bottom right option. That's Settings, then choose the option with the black A on a white background, it'll be about 10th on the list. Choose your preferred language & you're done.

You can then properly look around your Display settings, etc.

How did you upgrade it? Kies, Odin, Over The Air or through installing the firmware from your SD card?

I ask because if it's a full wipe & recover, any settings that you had would have been reset. If that's the case & the problem is still there, I'd suspect a hardware issue such as a faulty proximity sensor.

Thanks for your anwser, i did the upgrade trought kies, and the wipe i did it with the sd card inserted but i did not fomated until after it restarted. What is your advise?

Start by downloading Phone Tester from the Market. Open it up, go to Sensors & look at Proximity. Put your finger over the sensor, then remove it. Is the app saying Near when your finger's on it & Far when it's off? Does it keep saying Far if you keep your finger away? When you click on Properties, what does it show?

Thank it does it's saying near and far when.you put the finger on and off it also keeps saying far if i put it away, in properties it says

It is so wierd becaude when the problem happens and.thr scteen goes dark its like the light on the screen simply shuts down

I'm convinced that it's a hardware fault mate. From what you've put there the proximity sensor's working fine, but maybe a logic circuit?

The only way (in my opinion) that it could be a software issue is if an app is causing it. Can you remember if the problem existed straight away after you flashed it? Or was it after you re-installed your apps?
