Help Battery Mode -- Data push won't go back on

OK, so, I know the phone defaults to "Nighttime saver" mode on the battery. I created a "custom battery saver" mode that was fairly similar to "Nighttime saver" -- only the hours were changed to be a little closer to what I consider "nighttime." Data got turned off after 15 minutes of inactivity between 12:01 a.m. and 7:25 a.m.

It wouldn't go back on. 8:00 a.m. -- no data. I manually get it to refresh each of my email accounts, but it won't go back to pushing email (despite being set to do so). I have to restart the phone to get it to restart pushing email. (I forgot today, and didn't notice until noon that I'd missed 4 hours of mail.)

I've switched to Performance Mode on the battery, which, I assume, will solve the problem.

I guess my question is: Is it a known problem that data push doesn't go back on? Or am I just special? :)

Are you trying to get your google mail or another email account? As far as your google email check to make sure your account is setup to sync. Settings > Accounts and make sure there's a check on sync gmail. As far as other emails I don't have a clue as I do not use any other email other than gmail. Also might want to let us know what email program you are using.

Am using Gmail -- and yes, there is a check in the box to sync gmail.

Am also using AOL mail (4 different AOL accounts). In Messaging Settings > Email > Email delivery, it cheerfully tells me that all 4 accounts are set to "data push."

There's a sixth account (Verizon mail), which is not set to push data (that's on an hourly fetch schedule).

The Gmail and the AOL mail accounts all push regularly like they're supposed to -- and all FAIL TO PUSH after the phone is supposed to wake up and come out of battery saver mode. I think the Verizon fails to fetch as well (although, honestly, that's my junk account, so I don't pay it much attention).

OK, I'm replying to my on thread, because, after the update, it's gotten worse.

Here's what happens:
1. Battery is in performance mode, so "syncs without restriction."
2. Phone sits, off my charger, in silent mode, on my nightstand over night.
3. I wake up and want to check my email. There is no new mail.
4. I open one of my AOL accounts and push the refresh button. It will spin and spin and spin and spin. It will spin "indefinitely" is what I'm trying to say.
5. I kick the phone in and out of airplane mode, in the hopes that maybe that will wake it up and make it start looking for data. This used to work, but hasn't worked since the update.
6. I use the browser to check one of my AOL mail accounts via webmail. There is, in fact, new mail sitting in it. My mail settings say the mail should be pushed to the phone, but it clearly hasn't been.
7. I give up. Turn the phone off and on again.
8. NOW mail starts coming in.
9. Indeed, now if I open a mail account and push the refresh button, it will spin for a little bit and actually refresh the account.

This has happened every single morning since the update -- I've had to turn the phone off and on.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?
