Root Is Blocking the Update Possible?

Is there a way to block this update? It keeps trying to update my phone and I can't delay it any more (it won't let me) so every time it pops up I reboot and it delays it for a couple hours.

I really don't care about this update. I rooted my phone with SuperOneClick, deleted the bloatware, flashed some Notification bar mods, have nandroids, etc etc. I don't want to go through this all again! lol

thanks!

Can anyone please comment on this?

1) What is in the new update? Will it make this POS slow ass turtle phone any faster?

2) I'm WAY too lazy to go through the whole root process again. Is there any way to block the update, or, if the update goes through, how can I easily keep my root so that all my bloatware is still deleted?

3) Is there a way to overclock this phone?

Thanks. Any help is much appreciated!

I am not sure what is wrong with your phone, but mine is far from slow. It keeps up with my friend's Inc2 and Thunderbolts, if not a bit faster.

So far, mine has downloaded the update, but not forced me to install, so it looks like there is no need to block it if you dont want it..

If you are rooted, there are overclock apps out there, but I havent tried because I havent needed it..

If you are rooted and install link2sd (free app) from market, you can click on the "software update" app, choose actions, then freeze the software update app. If you freeze it, it doesn't try to update (at least so far).:)

Just found out about this the other day, and so far it is working. Thanks for posting it here.
