Importing Facebook Pictures into Contacts?

When you go to your Friends tab it should show all of your friends, let all of the profile pictures (to the left) load for all of your friends, then check your phonebook and see if that worked.

OMG that worked!

So in your facebook app, go to friends and scroll through you friends (you will see it updates each friends picture - and its doing it in your contacts as well. no need for another program (syncmypics didnt work for me btw)

Ony con is that you will have to scroll all the way down to your last friend and wait till its updated each picture.

Running Creamed Glacier 4.0.3 ICS on MT4G.

Haha, yeah this always annoyed me until I figured that out! Hope that works for everyone.

Ya i was just about to post that it had worked for me as well! Only thing is not every picture loaded so not every one of my contacts wasn't linked but for the most part(90%) of my contacts it worked for,big ups to my man here for that useful info!

Does anybody know how to make a persons most recent profile picture update to be your contact picture?

The thing that worked for me was what has been stated, make sure the name of the person in your contact matches exactly with the name on Facebook. This is especially important for female contacts who hyphenate their maiden and married names. Then go to settings...synch options and make sure you see Facebook as a sync account. Go into that and make sure sync contacts is selected. In the FB App select sync with existing contacts or all contacts (however, the latter option may produce contacts in your address book from FB that were not there and only exist on FB). I did not wan that, so I selected sync existing contacts. For me the option for existing contacts would not save, so I uninstalled FB app and reinstalled. All is well and the most recent pic from FB is attached to my contacts, again, provided the names match exactly. To me this is either a short coming of Android or FB. Even my Blackberry would search my contacts for the closest match and ask me if I wanted to sync with this contact or create a new one.

Lastly, I have a Samsung Galaxy SII and had issues with editing contacts that were synchronized with FB. I would get an error message stating that I could not edit an SNS contact. This was due to Social Hub a part of the OS for my GSII. I deleted the sync account FB for Social Hub and walla... no more issues with editing my contacts who are synched to FB.

All is well. :)
