Works and looks pretty good, once you de-uglify it a bit.

I mainly wanted to be able to use the phone in my car horizontally and this will do that. Everything, including the dialer and music player, rotates properly.

A fews probs:

Auto-brightness does not work. When the phone comes out of standby, it is very dim. So I'm just using a brightness widget.

The camera is not wide-screen and I don't see any setting to reduce the rez.

I have played around with many launchers on my cheap tab and nothing beats Zeam. Once you get used to the screen-looping and swiping downward to open notifications, you don't want to give them up. The Fancy Widgets clock (free) is also hard to beat. The wallpaper is just something I found.

Edit: Ha! Found a nice camera. Very much like the orginal.

Does anyone have any sugestions about the auto-brightness? If I can fix that, we got perfection.

You're the only one.

It's worked on every Cyanogen release I've installed, and it's what thousands of others are using.

xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM] CM7.1 Nightlies

Tried it on TWO. Guess I'm super unlucky, like getting attacked by a grisly bear and a regular bear in the same day.

I also tried the last nightly build, which is a month newer.

BTW, I decided to go with using it vertically in my car since I can't see it horizontally with my polarized sunglasses. Copilot works better that way too. I found an free oflline dialer that seems to work, Choice Dialer +.
