Here is the short story. I had the thunderbolt pretty much from release date. Phone was good for about 2months, then prox sensor went bad. Got a refurbished one, week later software problem. Get anothe refub phone, couple day prod sensor goes bad. Get another, couple days software issue. Call and complain and they let me get a refurb resound. Got it 2 days a go and it doesn't time out no matter what I do. Call and have another rezound, got it yesterday and first real use was today. Took it off the charger at 630 by 8-830 it was dead and running at 117 temp with minimal use. Call and they are send me another rezound.
Now I am tired of all these reburb phones, and this has all been in a 8month time span. Now my primary use is internet, I love the 4g speeds. I like to customize my screens and the screen size. Now I don't know if I should continue dealing with all these problems just for the above mentioned or jump to iPhone 4s. Please give me advice on this, I can't continue to be calling customer service every 2 months, it sucks.

Wowsers! You are quite unlucky with phones. I don't know of many issues with the Rezound. Can they not get you a new one instead of a refurbished?

Nobody can tell you what to do. If I had gone through all that I would definitely consider an iPhone. You just have to answer if you will be happy with it. I think the Internet is a bit slower on the iPhone.

You have had more phone troubles than any person should have to bare.
So sorry! It's impossible to advise you. The Rezound has performed flawlessly for many but that in no way implies that another refurb will be your ticket to happiness. After having a solid unit I would gladly take a refurb before I moved on. But, if my first experience with the phone was negative... it would be much more difficult to want another. It is a great phone when it's right... I can't say more than that.

I have been with android since it came out. My problems have only been with these two phones, the TB and the rezound. I have tried to get a new one but they will not do it. I hate to jump ship after many years, but this is not acceptable. Certified like New my ass. They won't even let me renew my contract to get a new phone. All they keep saying is "i am sorry for your problems with the phone". I have only had the rezound for 2 days now and its by far the best os yet. Right now i have it on charge, all i am doing is typing this and the batt has dropped from 30 to 24 and temp is 108.

All I can say is that you are unlucky. Or someone at Verizon hates you. This phone is awesome my incredible was awesome and the two people I know with tbs love them and the 2 people i know with evos love them, I pretty sure I will never own another phone that is not an htc android. If your luck doesn't change the iphone wont be any better, I just read a study yesterday that said ios crashes more than android and iPhone users alway brag about os stability.

I googled ios and you are correct. I guess I will keep trying every phone they send till I get a good one. It just sucks that they cant fix their own phones the right way from the get-go. I know they are losing money everytime they overnight a phone to me and the the broken one back.

i've had my rezound for 5 days now. posted yesterday about vibrate for text and ring tone for phone, but the 2nd day i had the phone, i had purchased the extended battery. installed battery and the phone told me to enter encryption code. thought it wanted my screen lock code, so i entered the code. told me i had 3 chances left before it erased by contents. called verizon, and after 6 hours of calls back and forth with the techs, we did a reboot. and it worked. last night, was trying to take a photo, and the phone informs me that my sd card is unmounted. turned off phone, removed sd card, re-inserted card and turned phone on. sd card still unmounted. called verizon and they had never heard of either of my problems. i know its a new phone. was advised to go back to where i bought my new phone and get another new one sent to me because if i did it through verizon i would get a certified new phone and the tech said why should i get a used phone when i paid for a new phone. interesting experience with my first smart phone. gotta love buggy technology ;)

I don't think I've had that many problems in all the pagers, dumb phones and eventually Androids, heck I'll even toss in all my computers hehe. Sounds a streak of bad luck. Not that it matters in your case but my rezound has been completely free of defects and any issues I've had have been user related. Good luck. I personally don't get why anyone whose used an Android would consider iPhones. Completely different devices. I can understand how someone could prefer one platform over the other but not switching because you've gotten broken devices.

Wow, that sux dude! I have heard lots of anecdotal stories that the refurbed phones are *not* "as good as new" despite the carriers claims.

If I were you, I'd play the odds and get another rezound. Unfortunately you may get someone else's problem, because statistically the phones getting returned are the ones that have had problems for someone else. But that's still going to be true if you opt for an eyePhone, too... Unfortunately, as much as the "refurbs only" policy is egregiously unfair, in my opinion, I think all you can do is hold your nose, offer a prayer to the great 'sketti-monster, and try again...

Good luck!!
