Anybody jump from the Bionic to the MAXX?

Has anyone switch from the Bionic to the MAXX?

If so, I'm curious how the screen compares and how your dealing with a fixed battery? Any other observations (plus or minus) that you would care to share?

Thanks!

Eric

I had a bionic, actually still have it. I tried to buy a maxx on caturday, but they were sold out.

Screen should be the same as RAZR and it's just fine, actually you don't get the pentile diag lines on some colors! I do have a SGN currently and I really want to try this extreme battery life out. I haven't run out on the SGN, but worried that I'll hate it when I have to travel for work.

I pulled the trigger today and ordered a MAXX in my local Verizon store. It will be processed today and I could see it as early as tomorrow via FedEx. I think that the Super Amoled display pushed me over the edge. I like my Bionic, but there are display issues with the Pentile display that just plain annoy me.

Now I have to wait...

They are sold out, as of yesterday only one warehouse (online fullfilment) had them and even reps couldn't order them.

Wonder if inventory has changed today! That would be a good thing.

I don't think the sales rep would have been allowed to take my order unless the system didn't show available stock, so I'm hoping that a MAXX is in my near future...

I picked up a Bionic early January and then they announced the MAXX so I returned the Bionic and now have a MAXX. The AMOLED screen is nicer than the Bionic. The bionic reminded me a cheaper LCD TVs where too much of the back light is visible. It was nice, but I am spoiled with AMOLED since I had a Charge. The MAXX is not as inky black as the Charge, but damn close. I think the MAXX colors are more realistic where the Charge had vibrant cartoonish saturation. The Bionic screen was nice, the pentile did not really bother me, but the MAXX I don't notice the Pentile at all.

i switched from the Bionic to the Maxx. the Bionic screen is much better in direct sunlight. the Maxx is better in normal light conditions.

i had the extended battery on the Bionic and the Maxx battery life is as good but probably better than the Bionic w/extended battery. Very happy with my switch to the Maxx. Screen in sunlight is an issue but i will get through it. the super Amoled is the better screen in normal light conditions, which is 80% of the time i use the phone.

For those that switched, I just wanted to piggyback a quick question:

How is the call quality in comparison to the bionic?

I have a SGN, and I get bad calls with really poor call quality most of the time, other times it's better than a bionic.... still drives me crazy on the poor calls.

Really think about picking up a maxx if the voice calls are really good all the time.
