Post Your Battery Life!

My max screen on time is about 4 hours.

Kinda disappointed in that. I expected at least 6 hours.

In what time span did you use that 4 hours? I'm sure if you were just on the phone for a straight 6 hours it could of lasted you that long, but don't forget the times you are not using it the battery is still draining so 4 hours screen time with 12 hours of standby time is still pretty good in my eyes.

At 57 hours with 40% battery left. Thats now with 2 hours and 15 minutes of talk time on the phone, texting, wifi is on, data sync on, some light gaming, 4GB off, display at a low setting, light web browsing and checking the weather channel app every now and then. My display up time is now showing a little over 2 hours. I will keep you all posted how far I can get with this one charge I have been working on.

It was less than that, about 8 hours.

I'm on 12 and a Half hours and i'm already at 30%, am i doing something wrong? I've had the for for about 6 days now and i haven't gotten more than 16 hours. With moderate to heavy use.

Pandora streaming off an on inbetween classes, using 4g when it pops up, gaming when bored for about 2 hours total throughout the day. Light texting, No phone calls. Wifi on sometimes

My first day i charged the phone with my old blackberry charger for about an hour and a half and it did nothing, could that have messed up my battery life?

Please help, i want to make it through 24 hours at least

I think you are just using it more than everyone else. Gaming for 2 hours and streaming music on 4G will drain the battery fast. Go to your battery information and click on each one to see how much screen time you used and how much cpu time you used. I bet it is more than most of us.

If you can make it through the day with heavy use, than I say it's pretty good.

Yea I've never had any problem with it dieing on me throughout the day, I'm at 30% battery right now with 13h 5m and 25 sec on battery

Heres some specs for today:

Display -28%
Android OS - 19%
Android system 10%
WiFi - 9%
Drag Racing (addictive and very cool game) - 7%
Cell Standby - 6%
Phone Idle - 5%
Media Server - 5%
com.motorola.home - 4%
Pandora - 3%
Text Messaging 2%

Maybe I'm expecting too much, but i thought i'd get around 18-24 hrs

Are you people finding that the battery life is getting better the longer you have the phone? Today was my first full day with the Maxx. I unplugged at 11am with 100%, at about 8pm I was at like 30% or so. 70% discharge in 9 hours? I just got the phone, so naturally I'm playing with it a lot. Screen on time was like 2 hours, played a few games, some Facebook and Twitter, some texting, downloaded a bunch of apps, 100% screen brightness, 4g and wi-fi all day.

When I first got this phone I made sure things weren't running when I didnt need them to and used the phone quite a bit. I wasn't that impressed with the battery though it did last the whole day. Now since I had the phone for a few weeks, I have dont the same and my battery life is AWESOME!!! It could last me like 2 full days with me using it to do alot of things (Facebook, Twitter, games, tons of texts and so on) This is the best phone I have ever owned and am very very happy now!! You'll see how this battery improves over time!

Had it for a couple days now. This morning, pulled it off the charger at 6:45am, started downloading a 1700 song playlist from Spotify immediately, didn't do a whole lot, outside of that, but consider that streaming, did that for ~6 hours in the morning, played Angry Birds on my lunch break, Searched the internet, etc. Hit 40% at 3:00-3:30pm with almost 9 hours of (what I'd consider)moderate-heavy usage.

Coming from a Thunderbolt that would go from 100% to 50% between work and home(15 minute drive) with streaming on spotify, I'd say this is really quite a damn good battery life.

Hey guys I just got the Maxx and love it so far but I have been kind of disappointed with the battery.

First day I got the phone around 4 pm and it had a 60% charge, had a class that day so I didn't really had too much time to play with it so I only played with it for a couple hours before I put it up to charge for the night.
The next day I took the phone off the charger around 6 am and had work that day so

I lightly used it to five. By the time 5 o clock hit I was already was at 80%. Then after work I used it pretty moderately on the car with varying 4g/3g service until it ran to 20 % around ten o clock.

Then today I charged the phone to 9 am today and with moderate use it went down to 15% around 8 o'clock? This was after I shut off background syncing and did some smartactions to save battery? Can somebody tell me what I am missing?!

The one thing I've found living in an area with no 4G within 50 miles, I installed an app to lock in 3G. (at least till 4G shows up). It has helped dramatically on the battery by not constantly searching for it in the background.

I live in a 4G area but still do this. I get at least triple if not more battery life. I work for EMS so I am all over the place. My battery will drain to 20% with limited use in a 12 hour shift. If I keep it on 3G I can go 2 days even with moderate to slightly heavy use and be at 70-80% when I get home. My phone also runs hotter in 4G even when I have a reported decent signal. I used to notice a significant difference in speed between 3G and 4G, I hardly notice a difference now so I just keep on 3G. It is pretty fast here so it satisfies me. I'm guessing everyone is moving to the 4G network and putting less strain on the 3G network.

When I'm home I turn 3g on, my house is in a fringe spot.

If you want to get good battery life you have to tweak the settings on your phone.

Please tell me how to tweak it, on GB I went full brightness all the time and now im on auto. I never killed my battery in a day on GB, now it do it daily. I did a factory reset at least 4 times trying to figure this out and wiped cache and my coworker hasnt touched his. My screen on time was 2 hours 37 minutes, his screen on time was 2 hours 14 minutes

Here is my screenshot from today
