Wow, I can't believe we have had our phones for almost a year now! I'm still going strong with my bolt and want to get a new case for it. I currently have the Seidio Innocase ll for it and it saved my phone when I dropped it when I first got it. It's a great case that protects well and most important, is easy to take off since I use the OEM HTC dock to charge.

What case are you using for your bolt? Is it easy to take off? If you can, please post link:)

Thanks

Seidio Active case for me.... Had it on my X2 and now on my Thunderbolt. absolutely love the case, not too bulky but has the protection as well... Also like you said, easy to pull apart too for the window mount, which I just picked up yesterday at Verizon on sale for 9.99 :)

I like Seidio too and was looking at the Active. I just didn't know if it was easy to take off and put back on. The Active covers the power button and volume rocker right? Do you have any issue with that?

I have the Seidio active and active extended and like them both. They collect dust, so beware. I wouldn't want to remove the case daily for docking. I don't know if I'd trust the hard plastic skeleton part of the case to stand up to that kind of stress/flex, it feels a touch fragile. Seidio makes a cradle/dock that works with case on or off. I was going to get one, but have held off just using the kickstand since the stock desktop clock is portrait anyway.

EDIT: i don't mind the power/volume buttons being covered, they are a little stiff at first, but loosen up quickly. Also the case is easy to remove/install.

If you like the Seidio Active, look at the Casemate POP, similar, but much better design IMO.

I should also have the Incipio Silicryliic being delivered today which is another silicone inner, hard shell outer case, and looks to be the thinnest of the bunch.

If I like it, I have 2 POP cases, one white, one black, ill give you the white one for the cost of shipping if you want it. Same goes for the Active X.

Both are just sitting in a drawer collecting dust..

*edit*

The Silicrylic is by far the best case I've ever had. And its been about 10min..

Protection looks amazing, comes with a quality screen protector, and for a 2 piece, silicone/hard case combo its amazingly thin. It is a PITA to get on properly however.. the squeegee is a must to get everything to line up properly. Just be careful with how thin the silicone is, its fairly easy to poke straight through it.

If you feel like spending money on a case, definitely my recommendation.

jennay, I have the Seidio Active. Durability of the plastic part is little concern. I "play" with the case all the time, removing and replacing the hard plastic part all the time, I see no indication of wear or fatigue. My sister has the Surface and wishes she had the Active, the surface is difficult to remove (at least for the 2 of us).

My favorite case is the Incepio SILICRYLIC case Incipio HTC ThunderBolt SILICRYLIC Hard Shell Case with Silicone Core, HTC Thunderbolt Cases, HTC Thunderbolt Soft Shell Case, HTC Thunderbolt Hard Shell Case, HTC Thunderbolt Carrying Cases, HTC Thunderbolt Premium Cases
Check the link above for pictures and color options.

I have used Incepio cases on my Incredible, DX2 and now my Thunderbolt. It offers great drop protection, nice feel/grip, prefect fit and lifetime warranty.

The only con is that is isn't the easiest to take on and off. I wouldn't recommend it if you like to pop in a spare battery often. They also make another case called the Edge, that is two pieces that slide together, that might be easier to remove nightly....

Best part was that it only cost me $4.09.
Verizon has this case on clearance for 4.99 right now, if you can find a store that has it is stock. They cost $15-$20 on eBay/amazon.

I have two I alternate between... for weekends I use a cheap "smoke gray" (almost clear) "S-Line Wave" case I got for $5 off ebay that fits, works, and looks good. If you search ebay for "thunderbolt" and "s-line wave" you will find all sorts of versions at different price points. Its made from "TPU rubber" and is more of a skin, so its really easy to pull on and off. And it is nice to see the HTC and 4G LTE logos on occasion (though you can get different colors if you don't like the almost clear one I got). :)

And for work I have the Platinum brand case (which I believe is made by Seido) that is in two pieces, fits the TBolt perfectly, and has a belt clip that swivels and works well. Its a black hardplastic and looks a bit more formal/business-like for work. It has a very slight texture and a thin velour-like material to protect the phone. I got the Platinum case from Best Buy.

I just picked up that Incipio case, I absolutely love it as a case, feels solid and plenty of protection. Only thing I don't like about it is it can be a pain to take on and off if you are constantly doing it like me to put the phone on the dash mount. I use the Seidio Active for the most part but couldnt resist a 5 dollar case from Verizon. Also got 3 pack of screen protectors for 5 and the window/dash mount for 9.99... can't beat it

yeah for $5 the Incipio SILICRYLIC (double cover) case cant be beat. I wish Verizon sold the Incipio Edge case. It looks really nice and similar to the Seidio surface case with with better shock protection. The Edge is a two piece case that slides together from the top and bottom of the phone.

I was looking at the Edge since it's a slider case like the Surface/Innocase. Does it offer better protection than the S/I? Anyone have the Edge case? The Silicrylic is out since it sounds like it's a PITA to take off.
