The battery bar was one of my favorite MIUI features as well. Fortunately, a free standalone bar is now available on the Market - check out the 'T.E.A.M. Battery Bar'. It works great, and offers a lot more options including dynamic color changes depending on charge level, etc. It's also available as set of files that can be baked directly into a ROM.
Saw leech's and magic's post @ rootzwiki I've been a long standing fan of MIUI. Droidvicious's version is nice, can't wait to see it mature and get official in March!
I personally like ICS too much. I ran a Liquid Gingerbread over MIUI on my Thunderbolt. Since ICS is official on the Nexus, I don't see myself ever going back to MIUI. It's pretty, though.
Miui is basically an entire OS of itself. It carries features that I've never seen in another ROM ever and even without themes will be worth running when it is more stable. That said I'm not gonna do it until themes are fixed which will be within the next month I imagine.
i just loaded up Vicious Miui yesterday. overall i was pretty happy with it...very familiar coming from gingerbread miui to ICS miui. pretty much everything looked the same. same great dialer, same type of home screen, nice notification toggles.
but the only thing miui gives me over a Custom ICS rom was the cool incoming call screen... it is very nice looking.
will i run it...yeah probably, but only when i get bored with AOSP ICS development.
Do any of you find MIUI to be a step UP from ICS? Back when I ran MIUI on my Thunderbolt, I found that it was a step down even from Gingerbread. Vicious worked his ass off on that ROM, so I figured I should use it for a week or so, but MIUI is just to iOS for me. Hope you all enjoy this great ROM, though! It's just not for me

I don't look at it like that, rather more like this: I got bored with GB Android and switched to MIUI way back on the Inc. It was refreshing and is more intuitive than Android, much more. Then got bored with MIUI and went back to CM7 on my Inc.
I'm still honeymooning with ICS on the GN, but I will bore of it at some point. That is when I make the jump. Then get bored of MIUI and go back to ICS. It's a cycle most of us engage in
That said, MIUI, or any ROM for that matter, won't be for everybodies that is the reason I love these little green robots so much!
