Data issues today?

Maybe everyone here screaming and yelling should take 15 seconds to think about it.

Are you thinking that the GN has some expiration date on it or its all set to Feb 3rd to be screwy?

I mean come on now, think about it. You think everyone here has been fine and then many had problems this past weekend and your conclusion must be that the phone is at fault because you did some quick little simple tests? And because you can't explain it any other way therefore it must be the phone thats having a problem? Come on.

And for the record I have not had 3G problems with my phone for the last several weeks in northern CA. But last week places where I was getting strong 4G signals, I could not get to 4G. Instead it would only connect to 3G. I'm not an expert but I doubt its the phone.

I don't want to be Debbie downer but I think the radios in the nexus are crap. My thunderbolt hasn't lost 4g at all over the past few days and nexus constantly drops. I got rid of a charge for the same problems. Sucks because everything else is great but the fact that I get constant drops makes me want to get a maxx

Same here pretty much.

Fortunately I'm not having this issue, but it seems to be happening to some folks with Rezound and other 4G phones too. It's probably VZW issue.

Thanks, I reported the issue to verizon support, they're checking into it

asked other people and they weren't having the issue, but they also didn't have 4g phones

4g is working fine strangely enough, usually it is the other way around

The problem isn't so much reception for me as I get good reception on 3G (if I lock the phone to it only) and 4G (briefly). The problem is the constant drops and greying out of service. It is frequent and generally happens the instant that I want to use the internet. This is a device FAIL. I understand that it's a new phone, but the technology is now going on 6-12 months old. We should be having usability issue with the software, not with the radios at this point. Bah humbug.

Im curious if anyone has had this happen to them. I can replicate the problem on most days. Except for this past Saturday at my house. Maybe it was good atmospheric pressure that day dunno lol. Anyway here goes.

I have all four bars (or now six bars with Liquid rom ;)...in any event.)

Phone is lying down on desk, table, or whatever in my home. Pick up phone and hold in my hand. Lose two to three bars. Put phone back down, watch signal go back up. Pick phone back up, watch signal go down. This is both in signal bars as well as -dBm.

So, is this some kind of antennagate leftover from the iPhone 4? Can anyone else having data drops try this when you are in a strong 4G signal area?

Build date on my phone is 12/23/2011. I still may try to swap out for a newer device at Costco when I get a chance. Dunno if I can tell them data drops though since some places are like oh yeah that is normal.

Anyway, what say you Gnex peeps?

Thanks!
